Was that option there before? And what is it for, exactly? -- imean, can it be used for something other than ... idunno.

I'm imagining it is for playing without having to make an account, I'm wondering if I can use it to peek into Rescue Camp now and then. Maybe to fetch a pal.

By the way, if white was avaliable back then, I would have chosen it. Now you need to add black :P

It was added in the last

It was added in the last update but I don't really see much of a purposE. Maybe to reduce the amount of abandoned accounts.

My thoughts

its probably for your friends who log on at your house, so it doesn't mess with the energy, possible fix to that issue

New players can now try Spiral Knights without needing to create an account. In order to keep the Knight created as a guest, a player must create an account when logging off.

It is to allow new players to test the game out....
and if they do like it, they can go and make their account...

also, this allows someone who wants to try the game out to play even when the number of registered accounts on one computer (three) is maxed out...

what we dont know right now is if the mist energy used by the guest account affects those registered on the computer...

I think it's a nice

I think it's a nice idea.
Lots of people don't want to make an account just to try something but are quite willing to create an account if they like it.
Also: It'll probably mean that there are a bunch of names that won't be "used up" by abandoned accounts.

If it doesn't share ME with the rest of the accounts on the PC then I'm going to guess there are going to be a load of restrictions (for example: trading and in-game mail) to prevent abuse.

They do this in Puzzle

They do this in Puzzle Pirates as well, which I find is nice. You get to check out the game before you make any commitment, even though making an account doesn't anyway, but whatever. XD
