Disconnection problems

Right after I login, at the character creating window, I get kicked back to the main menu with the message "You have been disconnected from the server".
I tried earlier and didn't have any problems, but didn't create my character right away because I had to reboot, and when I tried again it doesn't even takes 3 seconds for me to get disconnected.
Any reason why? If so, what can I do to get it fixed?

Just because you haven't explicitly stated this, have either of you updated your Java version of Video Drivers?
Having similar problems. I made it past character creation OK, but I get disconnected very frequently (about every 1-2 minutes). Tried various graphics settings, and have ports 47624 to 47634 forwarded. I do not have this problem playing other online games.
