I was just browsing the wiki and noticed some very strange wording in the freeze status effect section.
"Attacks that can freeze deal a portion of elemental damage; damage taken from freeze status can only be reduced by freeze-resistant armor."
Yes, I'm already aware that when a frozen target thaws on their own they take a chunk of damage, but the way this part is worded leads me to believe that someone thinks freeze also does damage when inflicted or that freezing weapons always do a bit of extra damage. If either of the latter were true it would make me reconsider my avoidance of freeze weapons.
Has anyone tried testing this? I'm gonna go bust out the brandish series swords and see if there is any validity to this, or if the wiki is just poorly worded.
EDIT: A quick test with the fire and ice alchemers yielded the same damage from both, but I'm gonna try with brandishes in the actual clockwork to see if higher damage will show a difference.
i think its about the monsters' attacks, that cause freeze, dealing elemental damage to the knights
