Ideas that I don't think are too terrible or too awful.

Hi there, so I've tossed around a few ideas in my head, and I'd like to bounce them off of you guys and see what the general spiral knights community thinks about my ideas.

1. Costume slots for shields - They are costume slots for other pieces of armor so I was thinking maybe shields could be incorporated. it's not a big change.

2. Costume slots for Weapons - The only real drawback I see here is that people might get confused about what other players are using or have, but that same sort of confusion could apply to those who use costume slots for armor. I just think it allows players to customize their character a bit more. The weapon would of course act like the equipped weapon and the costume for it would just be eye candy.

3. Vatel's Daily Recipes - I love the fact that Vatel changes his recipes up daily, and it's been very convenient when I first started out, but like most of the other vendors, upon reaching tier two I don't find much of a use for him anymore. I think it'd be a pretty nice idea if Vatel, in addition to selling his 250 and 1000 crown recipes, he also sold 3 three star recipes, 2 four star recipes, and 1 five star recipe. That way, more players would have reasons to go to the bazaar.

I may not have been the first one to think of these ideas, but either way I'd like to see what you guys think of them. They aren't radically large changes, but just some small improves I certainly wouldn't mind seeing

thank you

Uhm, ok...

1, definately. No problem there.

2. Not so much. Weapons, aside from armour, have specific animations to their attack sequence. It would DEFINITELY cause confusion if someone waved around a Leviathan at the speed/style of a cutter. It doesn't apply to shields and armour though, because they don't have special defining animations. Well, nothing that makes a difference anyway. (Not like as-tail chokes enemies behind you etc.)

3. Perhaps make it change for each player? So as you go higher up, so do the max star recipe levels? So a T1 can't but a T3, but a T3 can buy a T1 up to T3. The menu is different for each player.

Thoughts?

With number 3, the reason why

With number 3, the reason why vatel doesnt have random high star gear is to give players incentive to spend energy to run the clockworks to get to basil. and to repeat and continue spending energy making runs until they find what they want. Basically they want energy to be spent.

That being said, I wouldn't mind if Vatel had one random 3* and one 4* recipe per day for people with tier 3 access (not 5*, gotta try keep them a bit harder to obtain)

Okay okay

So the 2nd suggestion isn't that pertinent to me, but I'm glad that the first idea and the third haven't gotten that bad of publicity. I understand that the use of energy is important as that's how they make money. That's why I think Vatel only offers a few higher star recipes, that way after I've exhausted all of my energy, I can still check to see what daily deals vatel has for me.

.1 This idea is great, and I've found myself wishing these existed a few times.

.2 This idea is nice, but "It would DEFINITELY cause confusion if someone waved around a Leviathan at the speed/style of a cutter."

.3 I also love this idea. Vatel is my favorite NPC, but I can't visit him very often, as I'm currently 3-4 star, soon to be 4-5. Having him sell 3-5 star recipes would be wonderful!
