Why is 2-star so cheap?

Last week I was able to sell 2-star stuff for around 3000 crowns. Now it's all going for around 2000. What happened? Energy got more expensive, so shouldn't prices go up?

Since it is harder to grind
Since it is harder to grind crowns with CE, maybe the F2Pers are more hesitant in spending crowns on items that can be crafted cheaply.
Or, I guess that they are too busy getting their current weapons to 5*... or people is just ragecrafting 2* gears.

If supply has gone up, it means ragecrafters have been going at it recently, and/or that more people are crafting them with mist, trying to make money.
If demand has gone down, it might be because perhaps people have chosen to leave the game based on CE prices (I don't think that's the case).
Sudden market saturation, perhaps.
Why would that happen? I got nothin'.
Maybe last week the market was suddenly, temporarily desaturated?
No ideas as to how that would happen either.
