Yeah I've been wondering about that. I call him JK as well but how did that start? Nowhere in the game is he called Jelly King unless I missed something..

His cancerous shiny headcheese courtesy of inbred slime genetics resembles a human king's crown, so he became the Jelly King. Plus there were already 2 kings in the game, technically (the unseen but alluded to Tinkinzar and the former King Vanaduke).
