Boss Token Unlocks ( Almirian Seal seem to be the worst group of unlocks )

So if I were to rank the boss token unlocks it would go something like this

VERY BEST:

Snarble Barb - One of the best swords in the game and probably the best piercing sword
Sealed Sword - Ability to make Divine avenger which could be one of the best swords in the game and gran faust which is also great
Pulsar - One of the best guns in the game
Bristling Buckler - Great to have for the Sword DMG Bonus
Spine Cone - the only Pure Piercing Bomb

GOOD:
Static Capacitor - one of the better bombs in the game in my mind
Antigua - A useful gun
Catalizer - not used much .. probably in OK category

---

So from the looks of it the:

Fruminous Fang tokens are the BEST token unlocks as you can get them with pretty much 0 and 1 star gear and they are useful. Even having 5 star gear it can still be useful to get all 3 of these unlocks.. with the Jelly and Fang tokens being pretty great too because of the weps mentioned above..

now the WORST seem to be the Helm and mail in all categories.. .. jelly, qucksilver and ancient all seem to be pointless?

and then that leaves us with the Almirian Seals... does anyone else think these unlocks are just plain BAD? it really seems like nothing is all that useful.. OK OK .. maybe the crest of almire .. but really it's just a shadow version of owlite is it not? And then there is the fang of vog.. sure people say it's good.. but it really seems like there are 5 or so better swords in the game at least.

yeah.

Typical OOO balancing.

Typical OOO balancing. They're afraid something will be too good so they preemptively nerf it. The Crest of Almire is a decent shield and definitely better than the Skelly shield. FoV has the best close-quarters charge in the game but the damage on regular swings is pretty bad even if it does light up enemies sometimes. The swing speed is also awful compared to other 3 swing swords.

Actually... As I have sold

Actually...
As I have sold several crests of almire and fangs of vog for lots of CE... I can't say they're useless... At least economically speaking.

Also, Crest is even better than owlite when you're facing pure shadow attacks like fiends.
BUT, if you walk into fire, you better have an owlite. Crest breaks almost instantly under elemental attacks.

FOV is great for show.
It has 3 super slow swings, like the 2 Divine Avenger swings.
It doesn't deal as much damage as the Divine Avenger.
It doesn't push monsters back with regular attacks like Divine Avenger.
It sets you on fire with the charge, unlike Divine Avenger.
Fire it deals to monsters lasts little and deals little damage.

If that is strong fire, OOO should take a look at wikipedia to learn stuff about fire.

And you have to consider the looks. Yeah, having good looking items is also an objective for some players (I crafted a 5* skelly set just to use as a costume). And Crest of Almire looks damn good.

From your list and its

From your list and its justification,

The Blackened Crest falls in the the very best list. It is the one of the two shields that blocks shadow-based damage. It could be the better of the two depending on your preference (having more normal-based defense and more resistant against fire and shock).

Oh come on, the Antigua line

Oh come on, the Antigua line (to Argent Peacemaker anyway) is much better than the Catalyzer's.

V0rtex... Antigua just spams

V0rtex...
Antigua just spams bullets while Catalyzers make you play with strategy.
Being better or not in this case just depends on how you like to play.
I like spamming bullets, but playing with strategy to deal LOTS of damage with a catalyzer is also lots of fun.

Yes, it's certainly true that Catalyzers are more strategical than the Antigua line, but in general there is a lot of use for spamming bullets. Also, the Antigua line has a better damage type and is more useful in FSC.

If you have 4 weapon slots,

If you have 4 weapon slots, fov might be a fitting choice in the case of running fsc.

What Dark Ritual?

M_Yaa_M lies. FoV is... AWESOME.

FoV charge attack can one hit t2 lumbers, t3 gun puppies and howitzers (Havnt seen a polyp yet) and can two or three hit T3 Trojans and Lumbers if they arnt being healed. In a arena where 5 lumbers appear in the middle of a stage, I just go up there in the middle of all of they before they spawn, charge my FoV, and boom. Wave complete. Crest of Almire is also far from worst. Vanaduke items ARE VERY GOOD.

My ranking.

FoV
Sealed Sword
Antigua
Blackened Crest
Pulsar
Snarlble Barb

Everything else is a no. Well, I like the ancient set but...

FoV..

Yeah, but some peeps don't have full fire resist bigfootm. Without max fire resist, Fang of vog is to dangerous to use.
If you do have great fire res, then sure I guess it would be alright. Though, combuster beats the hell out of it.
Combuster is faster, doesn't set you on fire. Of course, I imagine the FoV is much funner to play with. And with remedy caps, it is nice.
If you do have a chance to use the charge, it is deadly. Fang of vog charge is it though. Normal swing speed is that of a DA.

Most peeps put it, Combuster>Fang of Vog.

P.S. Antigua sucks compared to pulsar. A lot.
