For me i haven't updated my client after the 2 new monster release update. Is it supposed to take way too long to update?

This thread should go in the Tech Support forum, but...

If you haven't updated for a long time, yes, it could take a while for the game to update.
You may have to uninstall and reinstall the game if it doesn't patch nicely, but just wait it should be fine.

Oh sorry, I thought you said you had missed a couple of patches.
There've been no patches since Monday's bugfix, so you shouldn't need to uninstall/reinstall, sorry.

Are you playing in a browser? Try clearing your browser and Java cache. If you're playing in Steam or the desktop client, try powercycling your modem and router (if applicable). You might just have to wait in any case.

Yes, if you are using the

Yes, if you are using the client version you should update your Java BEFORE you reinstall.

Could you move this thread to Technical Support?
You can do that by editing the first post and changing the drop-down menu.

Let me know if you're still having issues.

Wait, Java is saying your

Wait, Java is saying your Java is not up to date? The current Java version for Windows is 6 Update 27.

To download the desktop client, use this link: http://download.threerings.net/spiral/client/spiral-install.exe
It will install and then patch. It might take a while but you need to be patient.
Were previous patches taking this long for you?

Clicking that link will let

Clicking that link will let you install the desktop client and put a shortcut on your desktop, yes.

How did you uninstall Spiral Knights?
The desktop client needs to be uninstalled from your Control Panel, if you're using Windows.

As for Java, can you go into your Control Panel to the Uninstall a Program section. If you see old versions of Java, like "Java 6 Update 24" or something, you can try uninstalling those. You shouldn't need to uninstall anything else.

The new monsters update adds new content to the game, so the files are a little larger. Once you reinstall the game, it will take a while (20 to 30 minutes, depending on your internet connection) to download everything.
