Reading this topic (http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/2232#comment-13418) made me think about some guild features that could be added so guild members have more fun playing toghether.

This will be a long post, as usual.

-Guild Points:
Every time you get out, you see that you pockets are quite full, with a lot of useless things, that you get in bunks, and that sadly will not be used for anything else. So, why not turn them inside a machine, that magically turns it in a special kind of cristal energy, called roughly as guild points? Every time you see that you have spare materials, you could put them in this machine, localized inside guild halls, that would give points for the guild. These points could, them, be used to buy, from special merchants, guild features (only leaders and officers would be able to buy them), to tweak the guild hall, and, in some cases, give neat bonuses if you play toghether with your guild members. Also, these features need to be assembled, carried, and everything, and who does this need to be paid, so, a crown cost would be necessary too. Because of this, guild leaders thought about a way of doing a box that can only be opened by who made the work of getting the item inside the guild at the first place (translating: You can deposit any amount of crowns inside the box, but no one would be able to retrieve them, not even guild leaders, and this money would be used only in guild features).

-Visual Tweaks:
Mostly, things that can be bought with guild points would be visual tweaks, like a diferent main theme (how the hall looks, like the actual dark one, or the haven-like one from before, you chose), music theme, more room for tweaks, chairs, tables, pictures, armor stands, lights, snipes, spookats, wolvers, robots, or even a kingly chair where the guild leader can sit, in a sealed room assecible only by officers, where they can discuss the future of some guild members that aren't acting well enough, or to discuss what will be the next tweak to buy. Of course, the room would have a big monitor showing the actual points and crowns in the guild vault.

-Guild Buff Assets:
But, of course, you would be able to buy tweaks that give bonuses to the entire guild, the only problem is that the contract is quite specific about the huge amount of points and crowns, and about the time that it takes to assemble them (the best tweaks would have a wait of 1 month to get ready, but would be usefull for the guild members that waited long enough). Also, the contract says, in 90% of the time, that, if you want to use these features outside of the hall, you will need a witness of the guild to prove that you didn't used it to make harm to the surface (translating: most guild features useable in dungeons would only work if your party have at least one more guild member, and would work only for the guild members). The buffs would not be thaaaat great, but, a buff is a buff, mainly if it buffs you and counts together with your armor and weapon bonuses. Also, features inside the guild that gives bonuses, most of the time, will have a drawback, to balance things up, but, mostly, it would be most good than bad.

My post finishes here, but i will put some examples of useable buff assets that i thought of.

--Examples:

>Mist Overcharger: This one have 3 levels, and can be upgraded at any time, if the guild have the points, crowns, and time. This machine would be positioned near the guild entrance, and would work really awessome to people that can't play that much most of the time, and that "lose" some of the 10 energy per hour. While inside the overcharger, the player would gain mist in the rate of 10 mist per hour, but, when the players get to 100 mist, the overcharger would force some energy into the open slots of the mist tank, upgrading to up to 30 extra mist energy (in level 3 overcharger, totalizing 130 mist energy, 10 per level). Of course, because of it forcing the energy into your tank, the speed of regen would be reduced to 25% (thus, 10 energy per 4 hours), and the knight need to be fully sleep so it takes work (when the player uses the overcharger, a game window, asking if he really wants to logout, appear in the screen, and, if accepted, the game closes, as the character enters in the overcharger. If it is canceled, them the char don't enter the overcharger). Also, to top it up, the extra 30 energy is only useable by the character that used it, not the alts.

>Militar Robot: This robot would have 3 levels, each level giving a diferent option, that each player can chose, and change whenever seen fit, talking again with the militar. This robot would let you have an extra 1-3 health bonus, depending on the level, if you are toghether with another guild member, a small bonus one weapon charge speed, power, and attack speed (equivalent to a low bonus, and the player would have all the 3 bonus, but, unlocking only one of each for each level of the militar, exampling, a sword bonus in a lvl 1 militar would give low charge speed and power bonus, while a lvl 2 bomb bonus would give low power and charge speed bonus, bombs being the exception of receiving mid power bonus and low charge bonus, because they don't have speed), or, a small bonus agains a certain kind of attack (one of the 4 types of attack).

>Armor Factory: similar to the militar robot, this would give a bonus variable with the level of the factory, and would let people change the bonus whenever they want, going to the factory again and chosing again, with the bonus only working if you are toghether with a guild member. The factory would give to the player a small/small to mid/mid bonus against a certain status effect, chosen by the player. Also, some status, like curse, poison, and shock would be only selectable if the factory is at a higher lvl.

>Merchant Square: Up to 3 stalls, built so distant travellers can sell their wares to the guild members. When built, the leader or officer need to chose what will be sold there, if it will be an armor stand, sword and gun stand, bomb and shield stand, token stand, recipe stand, or guild stand. The stands would have random itens to sell, changing every hour (because the seller need to sell to other guild, and other seller from another place took his place), with a chance of having exclusive guild equips (only obtainable in the guild stands), that, when bought, are automatically binded to the player (we don't want people buying from their guild stalls to sell to other guilds or players without guilds, don't we?). Also, the token stand would, randomly, give special offers in guild only equips, in any of the tokens (some neat jelly and vog token weps and armor, if you have luck). And, the recipe stand would randomly offer recipes, also with guild only recipes, that bind to the player when made. The stands need to be conserved, though, and, after one month of use, they vanquish, needing to be done again.

>Television: Yes, television. With this, you can acess any guild mate run in the clockworks, and see what they are doing, how they are fighting, and everything...less hear what they are talking. It's a good way to aux some new players, seeing what they do wrong, to tell them that, and give tips, or to see experienced players fighting to learn some of their tricks, or even to ask for someone to film your run, because filming worsen your computer perfomance, but it doesn't matter if you're not fitghting >_<.

Have fun knights!

How about no It seems you

How about no
It seems you know nothing about how a game works
I mean absolutely nothing
These are all way too overpowered
1-3 extra health is like jumping up another star level
Choosing the status effect you can stop more often is unfair
Guild only recipes? Wtf, what if players dont want to be in guilds, then they can't get anything from there, all items need to be accessible to everyone
No buffs are in the game, and guild only buffs mean you wont be playing with other players that much
Youll be excluded to only your guild
Guilds will begin rage wars against topics, and thus the spiraling plunge of spiral knights
and for the television, I think itd be more personal to go in with new members and teach them right there
Nothing helps quite as much as a visual aid
Mist overcharger? no no no no no
The game is 100 mist a day for a reason, so you want to buy energy, without buying energy, there is no more game, extra energy on top of that is bad too
The only good suggestions are guild points and bonuses for the Guild Hall

My ideas, Use guild points as a ranking system, but not by depositing crowns or anything
Just by how active the guild is, when pvp is put in, maybe guild vs guild pvp, winners get points
It will be competitive and fun
Making the guild hall look better would be nice too
Kymroi out~
