When in my guild hall, I had an idea when i was running up to the top platform to the north. No, not an idea to annihilate energy. Just what i think is a way to make the game that is based around energy a little better without completely over-hauling what is going on right now. A thing to cope with people leaving the game, which i personally would not with this:

How about a clockworks elevator was placed right up there? My idea is a "Guild Clockworks" type of thing, sorry for this being already suggested if it has. It can start as the crystal deposit on one day of the week (something like Tuesday) and crystals are deposited in it all day to determine what is inside, just like the normal clockwork elevators (same crown gain etc so that isnt an issue) except of course it will be lower crystal #s over a day, please tell me if this makesa huge difference.

So how it could work is that between wednesday morning and monday night, all guilds can adventure down their own guild hall's clockwork elevator and get as far as they are able to with ALL guild members the least being 4. ***Only 4 can be in the clockworks at one time. If this wouldnt work which will suck, you can have maybe 12 max to be rewarded in the clockworks to make it much more guild-wide. This may be a flaw but it could keep guilds with the numbers advantage from dominating. You can still go down possibly with another 4 after 12 but you won't gain anything.

** Give NO crowns and NO heat and make the elevators cost half or something. NOT no cost to restrict constant endless spamming and have revive costs be the same, boxes contain points explained below instead of crowns and heat and tokens. Instead you will get what i explain below.

wether this elevator will include the normal 3 tiers isn't what i would know, but there should be leader boards, similar to the blast network that reset EVERY week (the Tuesday / break day that i talked about earlier), giving a chance for new guilds to catch up and be on the leader boards, and possibly a lifetime leaderboard. Points can be given out for major things:

1. The main one, how far you have gotten. There should be a point cap that is raised for every tier you have completed. a VERY high point cap but with very small point values given out for tier 1, one that probably isnt reachable unless you can constantly do tier 1 over and over which it will still be impossible to get to the top so this isn't rewarding. For tier 2, a not as restricting point cap as well but have point values being given out enough to reasonably beat the tier 1 point cap a ways. This will allow it to be more competitive for guilds around tier 2. Then, for tier 3, a much greater increase in points given out and no cap. If the core is reached, a very high number of points is rewarded. You cant instantly go to tier 2 till 1 has been cleared, cant go to 3 until 2 has been cleared and 1 by your guild for the week.

2. Boss kills, have the weekly rotation include bosses that give extra points for the first kill (very high point values for JK and extremely higher for Vanaduke imo) and less for each following kill so it isnt rewarding to spam a certain tier with a boss over and over. No tokens for the boss kills, only the points.

3. Difficulty rooms, these still cost ce and instead of rewarding crown and heat they will reward extra points for the leader boards. The treasure boxes that you pay ce for can have points in them as stated above. Probably not worth it too much unless you have piles of ce then the small amount might help.

4. The part of the tier you are on. The first 3/4 levels of the tier are less rewarding than the bottom 3/5. The lowest of the bottom 3/5 are more rewarding as well.

5. Having no deaths, if your guild clears t1 without death, not too much of a reward, tier 2 a better reasonable reward, and tier 3 a really good reward.

And finally, make rewards for the top guilds on the leaderboards (costumes) and have the rewards ONLY for members that were in the guild PRIOR to the beginning of the week (rewards going to all guild members in the mail regardless of participation, yes). Also, another idea could be to make a vendor with the costume pieces to give your guild a goal you can set (not really a competitive thing). This vendor will have a points requirement to buy a costume piece, not consuming the points of course, just that the guild requires the weekly point value shown. In the guild menu, you can have your highest weekly point total shown. *****You can also maybe decorate your guild hall with buyable banners etc. (banners for boss kills as well, especially vanaduke) so that would give us this option, imo this over costume pieces.

Any thoughts are nice, sorry again if this has been said over and over im not sure since im not on the forums usually. all in all, this idea would bring competetiveness for guilds and would make a good reason to join a guild. The biggest problems would be the fact that you can only have split groups of 4 go into the guild clockworks (my idea is a max of 12 so 3 groups of 4 to reward your guild points) and that this would require new designs of costume pieces and, hopefully, banners to put in guild hall (guild master-placed). At the start maybejust the leader boards and overall leader boards and no rewards, definately to see the type of point requirements on vendors to buy banners etc that would be reasonable.

Anyways, thank you for reading this if you did, and i believe that something on the lines of this would help bring back people into spiralknights that have left.

Edit: sorry also forgot to mention the main idea of this would not be about getting gear period, its the current gear you are at from the original clockworks.

Wall of text...

If nobody wants to read the wall of text the idea is:

Guild clockworks located in guild hall. Gives no crown or heat like normal clockworks, reduced price to go down, and you get points to be on a leaderboard that could include prizes of costumes or banners to decorate guild hall / wear on back through haven for top guild or from a vendor with specific point values.

I like the general idea of this. But it should still be a full price for the elevator. Put it on par in energy prices, sans crowns for the runs. It's essentially a CE sink for titles/achievements for the guild. In that functionality I like the idea a lot.

+1 from me.

The real issue is the amount of coding it would take over smaller investments of time to produce new content such as new armor/weapon lines. It may very well be an idea they've heard and would like to implement. But for a development team of their size they have given us some fun new content in a very good span of time. BN, up and coming lockdown, new monsters and end game content. I think when guilds have a bit more functionality than groups of people who gather for easier partying/like minded serious players. Then they might actually be able to take the time to develop something for this. But I think a lot of people have already perused the myriad other number of threads that relate to guild hall improvements and may be a bit burned out. Just keep at it. The dev's do take note. We're getting Loadout functionality and a lot of other things we've been begging them for. So they're working on it.
