I have a couple of questions about the wiki editors:

What is it that wiki editors do? Like more specific than "edit the wiki idiot".
How can I be a wiki editor? Is it open to everybody or not?
Is the forum the only collaborative place for wiki editors?
How is the research done for items, gear, etc?

I also want to be a wiki editor in the near future and would appreciate a nudge in the right direction.

Anyone can add information to the wiki as long as they're logged in (except for those folks who have lost the privilege of editing the wiki). Editors collaborate via discussions on article talk pages, this forum, and/or things such as Google Docs for collecting information. As for the specifics on what folks use when collecting data, that will depend on the data being collected. You'll have to join the specific data collection discussions to find out how it's being done; generally the various things are an editor's pet project and they're taking the lead.

Almost everyone!

You do have to have your account murged with your facebook account. I'm not sure if this is the case if you play via Steam, or if this is still required anymore, but a Sega Account requires a facebook merger. :)
