UV variant tickets

I know they change the unique variants but...
does it change it from e.g low slime dmg -> low beast dmg?
or can it change from e.g low slime dmg-> medium beast dmg?

i've tried it 3 times now and it always changes the low/med/high whatever was on it to a different bonus but at the same low/med/high it was in the begining.
Just asking if its possible to change it from low->medium or high bonus.

It makes an entirely new UV,

It makes an entirely new UV, independent of any previous ones. I roll UVs all the time with the tickets.
