I have a Volatile Catalyzer and I really love it, but should I have went with the pulsar line? I really like how this gun works.

The catalyser is really fun,

The catalyser is really fun, although I use the virulent/toxic line. I love messing with enemies by shooting like 6 charges onto one sorry sap, and then blowing him up in the middle of a hoard. It's a poison fest. I really felt like I was the right choice to drop the shadow alchemer line for it. :)

Kind of wish I'd also grabbed a pulsar line gun, but my magma driver is okay.

I personally love both the

I personally love both the Catalyzer and Pulsar lines of weapons. If you're only planning on carrying one gun I'd say you should check out the Pulsar line for it's knockback and faster traveling bullets, which make it easier to use and really good at crowd control. However it is worth noting that the best weapon for you is the one you enjoy/get the most use out of.

I use nothing but guns and mainly carry a Biohazard(catalyzer), Polaris(pulsar), and Callahan(magnus) for my main weapons but for someone not specializing in guns this would be overkill lol. If nothing else I think you should check out the Pulsar line for yourself, never hurts to check something out and I'd bet you love it.

There's nothing wrong with

There's nothing wrong with enjoying something in the game.

After all, the point of a game is, in fact, entertainment. If you're enjoying it, you're doing it right.

I'd say the pulsar is the better gun, but ultimately enjoying the game is more important. Get one anyways, though; RT aren't that hard to beat. You probably won't regret it.
