I'm not trying to be rude or anything, I'm just sick of dying to an explosion 3 blocks away and then seeing my dead corpse move to where the explosion was. Rubberbanding between two bombs I wasn't even near and random dud bombs are no fun either.
Really, this shouldn't have been released with problems like this, let alone not even been ADDRESSED a month after release. And before you say it's my fault, I have a fantastic connection and live in Southern California, and I'm not entirely sure where the servers are but it shouldn't be this bad even if it's in Maine or something. You need to optimize or get more servers in different locations to lessen the strain. Or get better servers, I'm not going to pretend to be a computer expert but these problems shouldn't be this frequent.
A few other things that get on my nerves as well:
- A wide circle in a GRID is not a good way of telling where you actually are, or where your hitbox is, if it was even right. There's a reason why in Bomberman the characters are tall and skinny with big heads, it's easier to tell where their feet are.
- 300 energy for a SINGLE extra coin for ONE day? Really? I wouldn't pay that even if I had won the lottery, it should be 100 AT MOST. The heat amplifier's a better deal than that, at least it lasts for two.
- The Payout for teams is kind of silly, it takes 3 wins to be able to afford another game over what you had started. It should consistently be 300 for wins, as it would still be a crown dump if you lost and give people a reason to play other than for coins.
If lockdown's lag issues are this bad it's not even going to be worth it to go in there more than once. I love this game, and have even paid for energy and the packs, but I'm not going to spend 1800 energy to lower the amount of times I would play a laggy unreliable mini-game for one day.
Try to get a Mac, you'll see how things can get much simpler: every other game you just freeze and when you force kill and manage to log back you're back to Haven :-)
More seriously, I can live with lag, but I'd really like a fix for the non-Lion Mac users...
