Simple, just read the above. Recommendations for FSC is all that I'm looking for.

Simple answer wanted?

Simple answer granted. Use swords? If yes, do vog, if no, use either one.

Hmm

When it comes to FSC, most would agree that:
Vog > Grey Feather > Divine Veil

The main issue with Divine Veil is its lack of Normal Defense. Vanaduke does a lot of normal damage with the exception of the head phase which is elemental.

It does have Shadow which is nice for Zombies... but... they do half Normal/Shadow even in T3. So all that defense against Shadow is canceled by the lack of Normal defense. So for Zombies it ends up being a wash.

One would think that Grey Feather's negative Stun would be a problem but 8 seconds of stun instead of 4 seconds doesn't make a huge difference in practice. (As long as one is wearing only one piece of Grey Feather, full Grey Feather might put you in 18 second stun territory, which is a really long time.)

The one thing Divine Veil has going for it is the bonus to fiends, so FSC Trojans beware! :D I've used Divine Veil all the way to Vanaduke and it is definitely doable, it just isn't what I would call ideal.

The lack of normal defense

The lack of normal defense isnt that bad as you get shadow and even more elemental defense.I have a max normal vog coat and a med normal divine veil so its pretty balanced out.I might suggest the fallen set as it provides low ASI , fire resistance and shadow defense.

Same kind of question: I have

Same kind of question: I have a divine mantle, and an ash tail cap. Should I go for skolver or vog cub cap? It's not really for FSC, though, I can't afford to have different gears depending on which dungeon I'm diving in, so I wonder if a bit of piercing defense would be a good idea...
Your thoughts?
I'm mostly a swordsman, btw.

The Slag Walkers in FSC

The Slag Walkers in FSC aren't what you should be gearing to protect yourself from, its Vanaduke that matters. As culture pointed out, most of Vanaduke's attacks do Normal, and elemental in FSC is pointless because the only thing there that does it is the Red Rovers and Rocket Puppy, which aren't a problem to begin with. On Vanaduke with a Divine Veil, you'll take a lot more of a beating from his mace than anyone else because of the lack of normal defense, which is bad. You might be feasible in the levels before Vanaduke, but if you're always dead during the boss fight, you're useless, period. Hence Vog > Divine.

Offense > Defense Vogs ASI

Offense > Defense

Vogs ASI Med > Divines Fiend Med

So Vog wins

I got both.

Crafted the Divine Veil (happy :D) -> went down and visited Vanaduke -> he smashed me once and I'm already limping with 8-9 bars of health .-. (that +15 vitapod went poof in less than a second.)
Back then I used Divine Veil , Miracle Cloak, and Grey Owlite Shield.
Ragequitted soon after and resume killing JK untill i get full vog...

Well if you want to go the

Well if you want to go the mix and match route for some reason, I'd probably suggest the vog cub suit if you don't have one already. You'd probably get the most benefits with the suit since it has pretty much the same stats and bonus stats, while you can just switch with a lot of helm that have special stat bonus damage.
