So, I realized that the BAB really bites...as do the other lines of the Blast Bomb when compared to Nitronome.
But, I chose to focus on the Big Angry Bomb today.
I really don't see the reasoning behind the movement, charge time and fuse time penalties over what seems to be a marginal damage increase at level 1 in comparison to the Nitronome. Worst of all, it has a very, very tiny blast radius; I mean what's the point of adding "BIG" into its name if its AoE is smaller than a good number of the more commonly used bombs?
My idea?
- A supermassive blast radius
- an even shorter fuse time to characteristically match a player wearing Mad Bomber gear (because you must be mad to be using this bomb at all in its current state)
- a damage buff that's actually noticeable.
And just for kicks?
-A good chance of causing Strong STUN.
To balance that? A huge movement penalty with the same or an even lengthier charge time.

Yes, I am angry because I crafted this bomb only to have it be completely useless in comparison to the Nitronome which outshines it in every aspect.
I understood that from what the forums said about it when considering the case, but that doesn't mean the bomb should stay that way. It's almost like a punishment with absolutely zero upsides to opt into a different piece of gear which shouldn't be the case when considering balancing in a game.
All I really want is that the Big Angry Bomb be reworked to be a viably useful branch off of the Blast Bomb crafting line. Not just some expensive novelty bomb at most.
The fuse time is fine, the slow walking speed and the charge time too. It's not "slick and userfriendly", it's "big and angry"!
That it needs a dmg, radius & maybe even knock-back buff is obvious. Everyone that ever saw one could have told you that even as a pure fun weapon it's very... "limited". People have been complaining about that since the beginning of the game and still there are other weapons and armors that are off worse (you could build an iron slug next, that'll make your big angry look better by comparison :D). Maybe you should find yourself one of those old "stuff-that-needs-balancing"-threads and continue it because I think most of the players who started those & collected information / comparisons between equipment stopped caring by now due to lack of attention from the official side (+ a community where 99% use the same 5-10 items anyway).
