I used to be able to solo all the way to FSC....but with the changes at the gate with Dark city and devilites I cant anymore.
What is the best equip and strategy to be able to solo and reach the gate to FSC ?
Thank you.

A shivermist (or it's line) is utterly unbelievable here. Kats are frozen and unable to lunge; devilites are unable to turn. Just keep placing bombs near them, staying behind, and let the small AOE/thaw kill them for slow and safe clearing. (does not work very well in small rooms)
The best general strategy I've found that works tho is to take out a gun and keep moving.
Swords
Dark Thorn Blade / Final Flourish
Divine Avenger / Glacius
Shivermist Buster
Guns
Callahan
Polaris / Hail Driver
Shivermist Buster
Bombs
Dark Briar Barrage
Radiant Sun Shards
Shivermist Buster
It really isn't that hard, shiver completely trivializes it (Not that there are many places in the game shiver doesn't trivialize). If you don't want to take Shiver pick off the kats first while strafing and then the devilites.
Okey thanks all.
But do you even take gear with shadow protection ? because my shield breaks fast after a couple hits from those sneaky devilites...
I would swap out for shadow resist gear and bring the shiver for these levels. I wear divine veil, vog w/ shadow uv, barb Thorn blade, almire shield, 2x shadow trinkets. While it is possible without any shadow resist gear, you definitely have to be on the top of your game.
I do pickup groups rolling the dice trying to skip as many levels as possible. I always do that. That being said, I have never seen/ran into as many bombers before this gate. Shivermist and radiant sun shards.
I however am not a bomber. My only shadow defense is a low UV on my helm. I carry a leviathan, polaris and callahan for this stratum but the leviathan is only for trojans. The polaris is for kats, the callahan for devilites. I have found I like going after the kats first, they are a bigger distraction for me than devilites. I shoot liberally at the kats and let the aeo hit them, it will also hit the devilites. I'm a clip emptier, so it is important to keep moving in the presence of devilites. While the polaris has the biggest aeo for guns, an alchemer with ricochets probably has similar effect. Splash damage and status effects are your friends here. For devilites, I make sure not to engage more than 2 devilites at a time because my shield will not hold up to that many projectiles. One shot, then shield, keep moving. Strafe when moving around devilites. If you don't have a callahan, the only other gun that will work on devilites is an AP or Sentenza but those take more shots. This is slower than fighting other mobs and it takes more concentration, but I have always made it to basil without energy revive.
