Game/Java crashing when loading game?

I've had the same problem, have you tried adding 'java.exe' or 'javaw.exe' to the list of allowed programs/exceptions in your firewall?

If you have old versions of Java, I would recommend uninstalling them (Java recommends this too). Make sure you have the latest version of Java, Windows is updated, double check your internet connection etc.
