You can earn the coins from the Coliseum
You get them by playing the arena... the 2 crossed swords, every game (200cr) you will get 1 coin, +1 in you win, +extra for some bribes. If you want more you need to run an amp but they only last 24 hours, so you need to put in 12+ hours play to break even.
