When a player abandons an arena fight, they leave their stuff behind.
Amongst those items are pickups, pod, and minerals. Minerals are the only item, aside from coins, that becomes a solid...object? upon harvest/pickup.
Well...when you're running for your life in an arena, running into a single piece of luminite will stop you dead in your tracks. A 10pod won't, nor a vial, or even a dead body.
This happened to me, AND the other guy I was in an arena with. By the time the Mecha-knights were done, there wasn't enough of us to fill a coinbox.
So, suggestion 1) Make harvested minerals intangible, yet still pickup-able (like hp-splitting party members).
Problem 2, and it's an old one for me.
The entire bottom of the fight screen is obfuscated by a big ole gate. Ya can't see anything, including the random gunpuppy that spawns right next to the wall instead of where they're supposed to.
suggestion 2) Make the gate faded to near-invisible. What is it, the Alpha? 10% Alpha.
OR
Turn the arenas on their side. Make the entrance on one of the side walls, instead of the bottom. Keep the gate at full definition, but it'll be somewhere that doesn't block gameplay.
