I currently have a Striker sword and see that there are two different paths that i can now take upgrading it. my striker currently has the UV bonus against constructs: low and i was wondering if the Wild Hunting Blade or the Dread Venom Striker would be a better path for upgrades

Given the choice between the two, most people I've seen talk about it on the forums come to the general consensus that the Hunting Blade is too specialized and the DVS is far better and more useful. If all you have is a striker, though, choosing another line of swords would be a better idea. I'm not going to go into a detailed explanation of why, but if you ever plan to run Tier 3, you're going to want to use something else with fewer swings and much high damage per hit.

upgrade to vile striker, farm JK and get a sealed sword(avenger) if you want to continue upgrading it.
my DVS just sits unused most the time, i still like it, just now i have too many other options, and only 4 slots so other weaps trump DVS.
in saying that, it(vile) was extremely helpful taking on JK so many time to get enough tokens for all 4 JK weaps, and a ton of swordstones before you stopped being able to buy them(stones) from brinks.
wild hunting blade looks better when you attack though, will probably get one eventually, after i collect more useful weapons.
Well it's agreed upon by most that neither one is particularly good... the The DVS is okay for Jelly King runs, but the wild blade is not that great in any situation. If you want to try them out, however, no one's stopping you.
