This is regarding the Vitapods that drop in the Clockworks and increase your maximum health.

You should consider having multiple colors of Vitapod (instead of just white) where each color of Vitapod provides a small bonus (in addition to increasing maximum health). For example, a yellow Vitapod with a large '5' on it might provide a small bonus to damage versus Beasts in addition to increasing maximum health by 5. (Obviously, pick whatever mapping between colors and bonuses that you deem appropriate).

Having a wider variety of interesting items that drop in the dungeon would make opening boxes and killing monsters more fun! :->

Resurrecting this old suggestion.

I still feel that increasing the variety of drops within the clockworks would be valuable. In particular, it is difficult to justify the cost of opening an energy gate just to get to treasure boxes, but increasing the variety of interesting stuff that could be obtained from a treasure box would help.

The Dungeon gear slot is used

The Dungeon gear slot is used exclusively for Vitapods, it'd be great if there wer ea different kind of item there, maybe defense/status resist or increased attack power.

A fun idea

This sounds neat - like a temporary trinket. As long as the buffs aren't too powerful, I think it would be fun. I imagine encountering fun decisions like "do I pick up the 8 pod with shock resist and drop my 6 with fire resist right before I enter a fire stratum?"

What happens if the player

What happens if the player picks up a new one and drops the old? Do the two items keep cycling back into your inventory every time you step on it? That could get annoying in a heated battle. Vitapods don't have this problem because you only pick up a new one if it is better in every way.

Otherwise, the idea of more strategic choices is a good thing for the game and I support it.

How about automatic pickup

How about automatic pickup for same type+ but you have manually drop to pick up a different type of temporary buff? A similar system works fine for potions

Hrm, I would seriously have to consider the choice if I were given the option of keeping my +8, or swapping to a "Resist Fire maximum" at the start of a fire based arena level or similar situation... Could be quite nice to have such interesting choices.
