Equipment help.
Okay so I am fairly new to this game(3 days) and I was just wondering if the gear I have right now is good and if I should stick with these paths.
Also I mainly plan on using mainly using swords. And I'm trying to get my armor to lean towards keeping the movement of mobs at a minimum(crowd control).
[Gear]
{Helm} Wolver cap.
{Armor} Wolver Coat.
{Shield} Bristling Buckler.
{Sword} Kamarin.
{Gun} Cryotech Alchemer.
{Bomb} Freezing Vaporizer.
I plan to stick with my bomb for it's Tier 5 counter part.
I also plan to upgrade my current set to the vog cub set later on in gameplay.
Umm I plan on going with both the alchemic paths of sealed sword but I am not sure if I should get something else for swords.
As for my gun I plan on going with the Polaris alchemic path.
Any advice or input would be very much needed and appreciated XD
Good starting set there.
Before I go into the details, do you have any goals in mind? (Defeating Vanaduke perhaps.)
[Helm + Armor]
Vog cub set is one of the best 5* set in this game since it gives you an amazing boost in sword's slashing speed. High attack speed helps you shield up faster, thus you can avoid taking damage due to slow attack animation (you will see the different with slow 2-hits combo swords like the sealed sword line and troika line.)
Both the cap and coat give you an abundant fire resistant which reduces the burning period from 8 seconds to 4 seconds (8 bars of health and 4.5 bars of health respectively.) Because of that, vog set is almost always recommended for those who dreams of possessing a Fang of Vog or Crest of Almire.
[Shield]
A Barb Thorn Shield complements vog's ASI Ver High with Damage Bonus Medium which is very good (it replace a skolver cap/coat or a damage bonus trinket.) However I recommend getting an owlite shield to go with your bristling, since bristling breaks down very fast when an enemy mechaknight charge at it.
[Sword]
Get either a brandish or a calibur. Both lines are great due to their fast attack speed and powerful charge attacks. Fast swords allow you to carry out hit-and-shield easier, and they help you eliminate fast enemies like devilites and wolvers (In Tier 3 those monsters are literally dancing around the map, without a fast sword, they just dodge everything you throw at them)
[Guns]
You're in good shape (In my opinion, don't get the antigua, it and its upgrades are bad...)
[Bomb]
You wouldn't believe how a shivermist buster is treasured by FSC veterans.
Well I think that's all i can give.
Good luck!
@ Gagerman: Dang it, you're faster than me D:
Still, Gagerman and me are trying to tell you the same thing: START SAVING PENNIES FOR THE VOG SET!
:P

Looks like you did your homework, you're set and you know what you want to do with your gear and you have good taste in weapons.
Eventually you'll want to build your entire set of heavy swords. The Polaris and Shivermist Buster are probably the only support weapons you need.
You should probably build a Faust first before an Avenger. The Faust will help you get more tokens to reach your second Sealed Sword.
You probably don't need to get Calibur or Brandish line since:
1. Your heavy swords are good enough for knockback
2. Brandish swords are elemental and shadow, and you're already covered with your Faust and Avenger.

If you like using the big slow swords, the attack speed increase from vog cub will be nice for you, but elemental defense is not as critical to endgame as it used to be and you can now get ASI bonuses with trinkets, so you may want to consider swapping vog cub (or just one half of the set) for something with a different defense type and/or different bonus.
Volcanic demo helm will preserve the fire and elemental resist but will let you charge your freezing vaporizor (eventually Shivermist Buster) much faster, which will be helpful.
Deadshot mantle/chapeau will give you a damage bonus against the undead and shadow defense, both of which are useful in the Firestorm Citadel. The curse resistance will help you weild a faust.
Radiant Silvermail will give you shadow and piercing defense with damage bonus to undead and curse resistance.
Armor/Crown of the Fallen will give you shadow defense, low ASI, and fire and poison resist, but you'll be a little weaker against fiends and curse.
Read through the options on the wiki. There's more than just Vog Cub out there.
For swords, it sounds like you like playing with the big slow swords so the sealed line is good for you. I'd also highly recommend a piercing sword for use against fiends and beasts. Barbarous Thorn Blade or Furious Flamberge would be my choice.

@ Gagerman: Dang it, you're faster than me D:
Still, Gagerman and me are trying to tell you the same thing: START SAVING PENNIES FOR THE VOG SET!
:P
Yup, my fingers FLY on the keyboard. lol
@LoveBear
If you like swords, save up for that Vog Cub set! :D
I agree with most everyone. Go vog. Don't only have elemental weapons, go for maybe a snarble barb. A bristling buckler is a fine choice, but you DO want another shield too, like maybe an Owlite or a plate shield (go volcanic plate shield). A Polaris, a shivermist, a DA and a barbarous thorn blade could be your weapon set-up.
Thanks guys this was very helpful.
So far right now here is my gear.
Ash tail set.
Wise owlite shield.
Avenger
gigawatt pulsar
freezing atomizer
Right now I am working on my fused demo set and 3 new bombs( fiery vaporizer mkII, graviton charge, and super blast bomb)
my friends like me better as a support status inflicting guy rather then a guy that knocks enemies directly into them or out of they're attack range(I am terrible with avenger and gigawatt pulsar)
Also I am thinking about grabbing a two crystal bombs to upgrade to radiant sun shards and Ionized salt bomb.
I am not sure if I will be needing it anytime soon though.
No salt bomb. it sucks. Sun shards is fine. why only elemental weapons?
I have a graviton charge and a super blast bomb so I am not only sticking with elementals.
But I like being support so I stick with mists more than anything.
So what's the general consensus on getting Fused demo set with my set of bombs?
Also yeah I would love to do some FSC runs. And I am trying to get the Volcanic demo suit.

{Helm} Wolver cap
{Armor} Wolver Coat
As the others said, Vog Cub is a must have end-game item so you made a right choice getting it.
{Shield} Bristling Buckler
One of the best shield in the whole Spiral Knights world and the best piercing shield. It also grants you sword damage bonus which is good.
{Sword} Kamarin
If you are okay with the speed of it, use it. But I would suggest that you get swords for each damage type.
{Bomb} Freezing Vaporizer
Excellent bomb for crowd control, one of the best bombs.
{Gun} Cryotech Alchemer
Since you already have a freeze bomb, I would suggest that you get another gun. Also the ricocheting bullets may break the freeze inflicted. Other popular guns include Voltech Alchemer and Kilowatt Pulsar (though to get Pulsar you will need to beat Roarmulus). I personally like Kilowatt Pulsar more.
{Armor}
Vog Cub gear is a must for end game armor, as it provides Elemental Defense and Fire Resist (also super vital). The ASI (attack speed increase is a nice bonus too). If you plan on running fsc (firestrom citadel) and defeating Vanaduke, Vog is the best choice.
{Shield}
Shieldwise there are much better choices for endgame, owlite and plate shield lines being the best shields and for fsc and vanaduke. The owlite line will not seem to be any good at first (as most enemies in t2 deal piercing dmg (damage), but the plate shield series is totally perfect. Once your plate shield is upgraded to 4* definately go with Volcanic Plate Shield, as it has sky-high normal defense, good elemental defense, and Fire and stun resist. This shield in effect makes you a walking tank.
The 5* version of bristling buckler is Barbarous Thorn Shield, the only way that this shield becomes useful in t3 is the medium damage bonus it provides to swords. I've seen many people with the skills to handle such a shield, but defensive wise it isn't the best.
{Sword}
Ditch the kamarin and go for the sealed sword line. Once you get a sealed sword go for Avenger, then Divine Avenger. DA is effectively THE best end-game sword for fsc and vanaduke runs because of its charge attack because it deals half elemental and half normal dmg.
{Bomb}
DEFINATELY go with the freeze line, its THE best status inflicting bomb for end-game.
{Gun}
Wow, you just keep choosing goop weapons over and over!! Polaris is also another awesome end-game weapon too!
{Overview}
Good things are ahead of you in your SK (Spiral Knights) career! You have made all awesome gear choices that will hold their own in almost every situation. I applaud you. If you are looking for a good guild then please check out mine! :D http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Hunter_X_Hunter_(Guild)
