Fiend :3
Fiend?
Fiends instead of undead in Fsc would be EPIC now thats a challenge.
NICK PLZ DO THIS <3
It's actually Undead. Basically:
GATE: Ohohoho, I see those anti-fiends players were successful and made it undead. But Dark City has Kats! Which are undead. So why not. :3
kats+fiends equals a ok in my book.
New FSC gate features Ritual Road map series same as last gate, as well as that big Trojan finish in the end!
It gets better! We now have a 25% chance of stumbling upon a T3 Graveyard where happey Phantoms greet us with their karma Cutter-Gran Faust!
I hate my life -_-
The thing to take away from this is. The gods responsible for random map construction are fickle beings. And we, are merely at their whim.
To all the people who tried to stop the fiends from spawning again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dI6mPDCqEo
I'm perfectly happy with this development. :3
Considering the amount of CE "inexperienced players" had "powered" OOO employees (I happened to be in a party where 2 other knights' rev cost clocked at 1280 CE EACH before we even reach the terminal .-., it's a miracle that i carried them thru the entire FSC stratum), it's worthy to say that you survived a fiend stratum.
However not everyone is willing to risk dying and use CE to rev before Vanaduke, and that decrease the number of open parties at Basil...
Aw well, fiend can't kill me before, fiend can't kill me nao!
Still... I don't get much crown compare to Gremlin- or Slime-themed strata. =(
Edit: Speaking of fiends, who think that OOO should start selling stuffed Devilite so we can pin them on the wall?
Run solo to d23, invite your crew. If you're playing with people that resurrection costs reach 1280 then there's a problem not with the system it's probably them. I'd wait to rez them and tell them to hold off on reviving for ce at all. That way you don't lose 3/4ths of your health to them...
As for why fiend/undead? Those are the quickest levels to get through. Especially solo. Quick = faster to vana run. DBB/shadow defense gear is a perfect thing to equip at 18 and make your way to 23 and switch to your FSC gear.
They're insane, they think that getting revived by a stranger is a disgrace xD.
I should've gotten a divine mantle when I saw that damn recipe -_-
It's not about rushing thru the maps though, not my style. I like playing with a party of 4 so I can troll/have fun with people :P (Trolling yourself isn't fun D:, and "having fun" with yourself is not fun)
Going solo is a way to show that you have mastered this game, and I've yet been able to do so (still investing in a Shivermist)
I'm just did a run to basil, getting carried by others so hard. Why fiend why? My Barbarous Thorn Shield can't take that many hits from them, looks like it's time to get a Blackened Crest meh.
It's easier to kill them solo. The health doesn't scale upwards. So they die much quicker. Less time spent killing them increases your chances for survival. Just circle strafe and unleash a charge attack after they throw their projectile. Solo, is so much easier than you think.
@reulogh Yes. Bringing something without any shadow defense in t3 when the majority of the mobs use that typed damage is like asking to be beaten badly. But the upside is you can kill them that much quicker. It's a toss up.
Final flourish charge attack + circle strafe = win.
Running in slashing madly with final flourish is a death sentence.
If people are so flagrantly bad at the game as to need 1000 CE energy revives in order to get through some Dark City levels, then do you really want to be in an FSC group with them? Or is taking their heat in FSC the plan?
> 1280 CE
Lies. The cap is 1000 energy.
^ Might've been 1280 / 2 = 640, which is a number you can get in T3 by default if you're reviving yourself instead of letting your team actually be a team.
Lies. The cap is 1000 energy.
Reviving up to (and including) 640CE costs you 1270CE, but I also have my doubts about the claim....
I went "wtf" when i see the total cost. Then i checked each knight's rev cost O_O
That kind of money could get all the Devilites in the stratum a vacation in Hawaii
So did anyone watch the ending gate progress of the new gate in Stratum 5? Because the early push was for fiend (that later got ruined by autosell), but I'm wondering is this showing some sort of insight into the gate building anyway. It started out nearly fiend, ended up undead but in a way such that it was practically fiend anyway.
"So did anyone watch the ending gate progress of the new gate in Stratum 5?"
I think a few people may have. *shot*
But anyway, I watched for the last 30 minutes, Stratum 5 changed through every possible stratum theme, but most of the time it was either Fiend, Beast, Poison, or Undead. And yes, every possible theme. Including Fire, which anti-mineral'd to Fiend. That was hilarious.
It just kept on changing until the very end, and Undead was the one up when it timed out.
lol I was wondering about mineral counts but it looks like there were far too many people to even attempt to get a shot at that lol. Dang...
So I just tried the latest fifth stratum solo. I did Ritual Road, Sinful Steps, Stygian Steeds, and Graveyard, in that order.
The furthest from full health that my life bar ever was in that stratum was three lines. And that was immediately after picking up a vitapod. I got hit six times in the stratum. Total. Never more than two in the same level.
It's not that hard. Stop complaining, and learn to fight kats and devilites.
Ever tried fighting friends together with fiends?
Like bumping a slime explosion cube right next to your friend, use some fire weapon to burn oilers while your party members are fighting hard... putting a totem in front of their face while they're fighting zombies?
It's so much fun :D
Sorry, for reviving this topic, but can anyone post video links of people soloing dark cities without dying. I need to learn how to solo these levels.
I <3 the stuffed Devilite idea. Especially the supervisors. I'm sure some of my workmates (who don't even know about this game, or care about video games in general) would love it.
As if FSC isn't hard enough...
