Two updates ago I believe. We could guard and walk across spikes vines without being stun locked etc. This was great since this solved the "There's a material in the center of this huge field of vines!" problem.
I mean your shield still received damage as it slowly changed color (or really fast depending on the depth) So it wasn't really broken. I don't mind if that was actually a bug and you "fixed" it but I actually prefer that.... I know the problem with this is that you don't flinch to enemies attack but I'm sure there's a work around for that right?
Next during that one update that involved walking across spikes while guarding was being able to charge without needing to swing/shoot your weapon first.
To do this hold down guard, then hold down attack. Then let go of guard. Voila you were in a charge state already! You can do that still even now (or rather I don't know when that was introduced.).
The problem is is canceling it.... Back in that update. You could press guard to cancel your charge and guard. this was good if you were about to get hit and needed to guard ASAP at the cost of removing your charge completely. Without it you'd probably just have to let go and wack at each other at the same time.
So please put back the ability to guard during a charge.
It was your chance to charge man, in the future, make wiser choices. If you want something thats charge is quick, then try the calibur path. The "Charge Cancel" thing was probably a bug, because it has never been in the game before.
Next, your conclusion "So please put back the ability to guard during a charge." If you could guard while you were charging that would be OP. If you were fighting a monster and it was attacking you, it would be unfair to shield yourself and charge at the same time, so basically you could charge without running away or being interrupted.
