I think it would be fun to see 4 Giant Lichen's (one in each corner) spawn for the final wave for stage 3 of arena's. I do a lot of arena runs, and construct and gremlins are getting old/easy. This seems like it would be a fun challenge. =]

4 Might be taking it too far.

4 Might be taking it too far. I would say, 1 Giant, and 4 mid sized ones. Worst case scenario, you end up with 3 giants.

That's the point, though, it's supposed to be a challenge.

True, but you don't wanna set the bar too high. With smaller mobs, if most of the party wipes, you can kite to get people back up. But Giant Lichens occupy a LOT of space, and the arenas are small to begin with.

Its not coincidence that areas that you expect to find 2 of these things tend to be large.

True, true. Then maybe 2 Giant Lichens and 2 mid sized ones. I honestly think it would be more fun with more to begin with. X3

This could always be an excuse to introduce a new type of arena. Rather then face off against large waves of smaller enemies, have smaller waves of larger, tougher enemies, with more realestate to work in.

I like starlinvf's

I like starlinvf's interpretation of the idea. I mean, the thing about the 3rd room of the arena stages is that you're generally not given a whole lot of room to move around. One or two giant lichens would be enough to royally mess with most if not all players. Three or four in that same area would be outright cruel.

But an alternative arena specifically set up for such fights is another matter entirely and seems like it would be the right kind of challenge if done right.
