Lord Van duke like i call him, i just finish coming from killing his Sorry @ss and i think its a waste of Energy just getting down there, waste of Crowns to buy more energy to revived my self and its a Waste of Bloody Time.... just to get 2 miserable bloody Tokens. You need to kill him Loads of Times (5 Stages to be Exact), to just get 2 Miserable Bloody Token... i think Tree Rings should take 2 stages off Lord Van Duke and life of his God Forsaken Life, if you want more player going down there to just try to kill him, you guys really need to lower his life down and his stages.... Because 2 miserable Tokens is not just worth the try for a second run or just go adventuring to see his castle.
a Suggestion about Lord Van Duke
If your playing 5 levels of Firestorm Citadel and only get 2 Tokens from killing Vana...... you are doing it wrong.
- If you're good, you don't need to waste too much energy to revive.
- You gain a lot more crowns than wasting them by loot and stuffs.
- You get 3 tokens if you do the full stratum. Randomly, it can also drop 4 tokens if you're lucky. And he drops only 2 tokens when you don't do the full stratum. Seems fair to me.
- If they take off stages & lower his HP it would be too easy. He's the freakin endboss of the game, what do you expect?!
Seriously though. Vanaduke runs are awesome money making and it's a fun challenge. Fun CHALLENGE. It's supposed to be hard. If you actually lost money instead of making any by buying so much energy & wasting it on revives, I seriously wonder how much times you died. Be aware it's the last level of Tier 3, it's obviously dangerous...
I couldn't help myself. (apologize for the crappy mspaint job)
Look, you want more tokens? Do the whole Tier, not just the run-up to Vanaduke. You'll get another Token, and you'll make a nontrivial stack of Crowns to go with it. You want to spend less energy doing that? Stop falling over. Invest in some Shadow protection, get yourself kitted out with some weapons better-suited for the fight (I hear the DA/AP combo is a good one, but I've taken him down with a Levi/Valiance loadout).
Spiralstevie's right; as it stands, this bad mamajamma is the final boss of the game. His Tokens also get you some pretty wicked stuff, so you'll probably want to run his fight as often as you can, which provides valuable practice that'll mitigate this problem you have.
I laughed.
Also, if you're not going to use the proper name, I prefer Vanaduck.
