3 waves if I remember right, also the gremlin healer and bombers made it kinda difficult. Forgot to take a screen shot after winning it though.
So I take back what I said about these rooms being easy. I'll think twice before entering a T3 danger room again.

Nice

So, you work a tough strategy with lightning fast reflexes to clear the room and watch all the loot vanish on the spikes since it took more than 90 seconds to approach it.

I was pretty lucky here. i just joined a random group and we walked up to a danger room 3 seconds later =P. I also meat my very first love puppy!!... which got destroyed after a couple of seconds... also in the truesure boxes after the danger room there was a skelly mask but i didnt get.

Yeh i've gotta say 90 secs for that stuff despawning is way too short, there are a lot of places in the game where you dont go collect all the coins/heat until after the battle as its dangerous to do so (especially true for gunners)

I mean i KNOW why they did it, to break a certain exploit (that i honestly never tried as it seems more hassle than it was worth) but 90secs? too short. Also dammit, turrets in danger rooms now? grr

EDIT: wow, that second danger room looks ridiculous. I knew they'd do this with the new ones lmao, was thinking to myself earlier..you know, the only part of the games that really give people problems are the turret waves of arenas...i hope they don't go the easy way with the new danger rooms and spam turrets, but yep. What a cheap way to increase "difficulty". Wouldn't be as bad if the netcode wasn't horrible and they had more servers worldwide

I've seen four new danger

I've seen four new danger rooms, none of them looked like the ones posted so far. (Sorry I didn't get screenies)

One of them had infinite respawn mini-green jellies, but it had a time delay switch to lock them behind a gate. Since I was solo I didn't have the time to keep the gate closed. A party might be able to keep hitting the switch to keep the gate from opening and unleashing the mini-jelly hoard.

Another one had a lot of respawning explosive blocks at the edges of the stage. Great for shield bump fire gun, bad for circle kiting around the edges.

Third one had the stage divided into quadrants by spikes, and two quadrants had shock pads in the middle of them. The spikes had an easy pattern to them that made circle strafing easy once you got the rhythm down.
(Enemies were keen to not let me do that as the enemy composition had oilers, spike slimes ranging, and flamethrower gremlins lighting the oilers and slicks :D)

Last one wasn't that interesting a layout, started with some blocks in a pattern which I destroyed before stepping on the party button.
Ice Themed
First wave: Greavers and Devilites
Second wave: Greavers and Zombies
(Died twice during this wave, there were a lot of zombies and once the greaver froze me it was perma-frost with zombie breath and greaver mist constantly on me) Party would have made this easier. Solo it was death.
Third Wave: 2 Trojans, Greavers, and Devilites
(Almost died so many times, I kept getting frozen then trojan charged into a corner then refroze then smashed :O)

So far I approve, good amount of variety, some fun gimmicks, and tasty tasty death :D

What zones spawned these

What zones spawned these Danger Rooms.. is it just the usual Clockwork Tunnels / Power Complex / Cooling Chamber that's spawning them? Or are these in different zones?

Oh god, 12 turrets and a rocket puppy? Brb never entering danger rooms ever again.

Just thought of another spot where loot despawning is gonna bite a lot of people: Spiral Court II, in that section where you're locked in a little space between the kats spawning on either side of you. I don't usually take a gun with me, so I end up having to spam fire pots at them, and I've occasionally seen hearts evaporate before I finish them all off. In that particular level, there's no opporunity whatsoever to collect the loot before killing all the monsters.

Seems like we got it easy!

My brother and I just did one of these new ones in Stratum 6. The one we did seems much easier than the ones people are talking about above!

It was a poison-themed danger room, and all waves included a mix of Ultra Blast Cubes and Toxigels.
The shape of the room was sort of like a Bone: [=]. Four poison vents located at each point where the wide area becomes narrow.
There was a lot of space to run around so the mob swarming wasn't a problem at all.

i also had 2 of the easy ones, it was 3 spawns blast cubes x4 in 3 corners, some spiky ice jellys with lichen, lichen and quicksilvers and blast cubes

i think ther should be at least 4 spawns like in the regular rooms :o and the pill and vial drops should be big crowns $.$

@Dangerrmouse I have one, but I don't tend to carry it as I usually carry two swords and don't usually feel the need for a third weapon, thus spending a pile of CE on opening another weapon slot would be a bit pointless.

@casinocreep The danger room I did was pretty much the same thing, except it was Freeze and had Gremlins & Wolvers. The second wave spawned a gun puppy on each side, and the last wave spawned four ice puppies in the middle.

It was pretty easy. It showed up in a construct stratum, maybe as to say "ELEMENTAL WEAPONS? TOO BAD!" but I happened to be leveling my Blitz Needle which cleared out the gremlins and my Sudaruksa was happy to take care of the remaining gun puppies and wolvers. It was fun, and I'm looking forward to seeing more types of danger rooms.

Seriously, I solo'd it and it was quite... WTH?????
I was so happy I crafted my first gun a few days ago (and upgraded to 4*) :P.
You'll need it.

Lost 50% of the heat tho, since I forgot about the 90 secs :P.

@mouse, kitty buying a gun is not the answer to a broken mechanic.

On the brightside, they probably already realize the mechanic is broken so it is sure to be patched very shortly.

The first one was tier 3 on floor 20. Same with the second one, and the third one I posted was in tier 2. And yes those gun pups re-spawn.

I haven't been getting lag on these, the game has been running good today.

Also my biggest problem is I had the blackened crest on all the rooms. Which didn't hold up very good. (Lvling it up so I can craft CoA)

Danger rooms difficulty was a

Danger rooms difficulty was a bit disappointing. I was expecting five waves instead of three, it was way to easy to kill off. On the other hand, I do like the creativity. Having the new rooms is better than getting the same two rooms over and over.

They're much more difficult than the other rooms solo at least, can't ask for much more from an internet based game really. You cram too much into a small space and it's not really difficult anymore..just cheap, imo!

Haven't tried soloing them, but I am sure it would be just the same as the others. I did around 10 of them today with a friend and never had any trouble with them. A Polaris in the room that spawns a ton of turrents makes very short work of the room.

I love the design of the new

I love the design of the new danger rooms, they're different and challenging... but I have noticed a few things and one issue.

Some of the danger rooms seem rather short. I've done 3 of the new ones. One was a whopping 2 waves, yes it was a very confined space but 2 waves seems rather short. The other 2 I did were 3 waves each. The one pic above of the gun puppy room is one I got to do, and its amazingly challenging.

Now the issue.

Most of the enemies drop NOTHING!!!!! You may get a vial or a health pill, but most of the enemies drop about as much as an AFKer makes in PvP. There was a slight buff to the treasure room (2 green boxes and some random crowns and heat were added) but it in no way makes up for of the most of the enemies dropping squat.

I did one where the entire first wave dropped nothing... at all. No heat, no crowns, no hearts, no health pills, not even a sleep vial which I'd rather break on a wall then use on an enemy.

I hope the lack of enemies drops is a bug (GMs, it would be very appreciated if you could answer that by the way) if not I see a steep decline in people entering them as the thing that made them worth doing, the nice crown/heat payout, is gone otherwise.

I tried soloing 2 danger

I tried soloing 2 danger rooms in the last stratum.

Danger room 1 was the one with the respawning green jellies. I did pretty well in this and managed to kill everything to claim my rewards. Loved having my virulent catalyzer as I was able to circle the room shooting the jellies and used my sword to kill off the gun puppies.

Danger room 2 was the small area with breakable blocks... and *bleep*ing mix of devilities and greavers with freeze. I died and had to give up because that many enemies with freeze makes it so damn difficult without backup.

You receive more for

You receive more for completing the danger room so that makes up for what your not getting from monsters. Plus you should receive less anyways while in the Danger Room because you are supposed to be rewarded for completing it.

The design of the new danger rooms is cool, but I would prefer more waves of enemies.

The new rooms seem to require a bit more strategy than simply running in circles. That's not a bad thing I guess. I stumbled upon one of them in T2 today and it was surprisingly hard (I was soloing though). Each wave had lots of gun-puppies as well as one rocket-puppie. Was kinda scary. Got killed twice! :s

Love the new rooms but the

Love the new rooms but the extra 2 green boxes doesn't really make up for the lack of heat and crowns compared to what you got previously.

The new rooms are more fun and more interesting than the old ones, seeing undead, trojans and totems was a welcome change.

But please please say that the lack of drops is a bug. wouldnt even mind if it didnt drop crowns and just dropped heat, but at least give us something other than attmept to increase the difficulty (not seen much of a change tbh) and nerf the rewards. seems counter productive, less people will want to go in them now, and its hard enough to get the pugs to come with you as it is.

These new danger rooms are

These new danger rooms are terrible. There is no reward in the Risk vs. Reward equation. I just did one where the first wave consisted of around 15 Wolvers with a couple Alphas thrown in, and a Lumber, and not a single one of the basic wolvers dropped any crowns, materials, or heat. You recieve less crowns per energy in the new danger rooms than you'll get in a stratum 2 arena. The crowns recieved in a danger room either needs to be doubled or tripled in some cases or the entree fee needs to be removed and the possibility of death the only deterrent against attempting one.

Oh, and this was a depth 20 danger room, so it most definitely should be giving a higher payout than a stratum 2 arena.

I just did a freeze themed

I just did a freeze themed room at depth 10, the one with the wolvers, lumbers and crossed spike plates. Got 155 crowns from drops, some materials, and 102 crowns from the boxes.

That's about 86 cr per ce, give or take.

I recorded a video of it so you can all go over it with a fine-toothed comb and count up all the mats and heat sparks and whatnot. It's uploading right now, I'll post it in a new thread when it goes live.

Here's some hard data on the danger room payouts.

Depth 24 Slime/Construct room with the green mini jellies and Lichen Colony miniboss at the end: 456 crowns
Depth 25 Undead room with totems and two trojans at the end: 483 crowns
Depth 25 Slime/Construct room with the green mini jellies and Lichen Colony miniboss at the end: 541 crowns
Depth 28 Construct room with rocket turrets: 667 crowns

None of the basic troops in these danger rooms dropped anything but potions. The construct room probably has the best payout of any of the new danger rooms because of the massive spam of turrets which do drop crowns/heat/materials and even that is at best equal to a stratum 2 arena in terms of crown/energy ratio, and nowhere near close to it in terms of reward/risk, and all payouts are less than what I remember the previous versions of danger rooms to give.

Anyone saying "make sure you pick up heat/crowns!" before it despawns, obviously haven't tried any of the danger rooms.

An extra box or two doesn't make up for the lack of creep drops - at all.

But not only that, the risk vs reward especially as it costs you energy to enter is WAY out of line. These were fun, but i won't be doing them anymore..shame. All that said if this isn't a bug and they've done it so you have to COMPLETE the room for a reward, i kinda understand (though it really makes little sense, its not like people are getting away with murder by entering killing a few and leaving) in this case they need to considerably amp up the box rewards

I had a shot at that one too in T3! It was pretty fun, reminds me of that room in FSC. It wasn't crazy hard as I imagined, took out the monsters without too much hassle. But after defeating it all, the party had the same idea: That didn't give enough reward that it deserved. Felt that for a T3 danger room, a T1 arena gave more.
