Most of the enemies in the new danger rooms drop no crowns or heat. To the point that one of the danger rooms I entered the entire first wave dropped nothing at all (that includes hearts, vials, etc.). I can understand if the drop rates were tweaked a little to make them a little less profitable, but to the point that over 90% of the enemies drop nothing is to an extreme and gets rid of the reason most people enter danger rooms.

Same thing here. I recorded two new danger rooms and I'm positive about one of them - almost no drops. Considering it was the final level of the tier (depth 17) I was totally disappointed. Today I repeated that specific room - same thing, almost no drops (some hearts, but thats all). This was a narrow room with 4 fire traps covered by crystals. Can't be sure about the other room since I was with a friend, there were tons of gun puppies and we didn't pay much attention to drops.
I think these monsters are mistakenly made into "respawnable" or "infinite" category - those that re-appear on boss levels or on some specific levels (jelly palace red carpet runaround - 2 mini jellies respawning, jelly throne room - jelly king making more jellies of all sorts, they drop nothing; ironclaw munitions factory something workshop level, last room before boss elevator - 3 robots respawn till you complete the puzzle and press 2 buttons, may drop hearts, roarmulus twins - little bots respawn till you defeat boss, they only drop hearts; vanaduke throne room - vanaduke makes slag guards who drop some hearts after being defeated).
As they are, these danger rooms are more fun to fight in (not so cramped), have some variety and don't provide much reason to enter since reward doesn't even cover 3 energy entrance fee.
