I don't know, I am just not sure. I never ever came across a F2P game where it limits me on how long I could play in a day. There has to be a better alternative than having limited energy to use to play in the "arcade." I understand that the company has to make money somehow. But are they also trying to prevent players from falling into addiction in this game (lol)?
There has to be a better alternative. (Suggestion1:) Like how bout an example of using "crystal energy" allows P2P players get to buy exclusive member stuff, (like in maplestory) and leave "Regular Mist Energy" which could still be used points to craft stuff, buy extra crowns, etc. Because spending energy just to play in the arcade kind of sucks, especially since it is the main highlight of the game. Keep the "spend your energy" with buying extra crowns, or crafting items. I'm fine with that, just find a better alternative so members could play in the dungeons how ever long they want.
I don't know if there are other topics like mine, but Dungeon exploring is the main highlight of the game (Yeah, said it again! But it is true!), and 3 rings is pretty much limiting players to play in the arcade. I mean, if 3 Rings is trying to create a fun game that isn't addictive. I am fine with that! Then keep doing what your doing! But if your going to do that, at least do this:
- Have an Auction house. Haven Exchange or something! Why? Because most players will only play about an hour (Since that is how long it takes to use up all energy, either if it is by crafting stuff or playing in the arcade), then they would log off the game, to wait another day, therefore not leaving that large player-base to trade with a variety of people.
- Have a lot of Dungeon levels available. Only having about 4 open in the arcade is pretty much useless, if people are going to spend about an hour of gameplay.
- That is all I could think about right now.
A full clear of T1 gets you more or less enough crowns to buy another 100 energy. You might have to spend some time selling mats as well. Progression will be slow but you can live off of 100 energy for quite some time without any major expenditures.
It's a different model from the ones found in korean games, to be sure. I think it works a lot better, since it gives people a real incentive to pay rather than just tossing them frivolities. When I bought some energy during the preview I knew it was going to be worth it later down the road. And it has.
