Can I get some general crown making tips?
Crown making tips?
An addition to Shoebox's advice:
Sell the materials TO OTHER PLAYERS. The shops won't give you nearly as much crowns.
The energy exchange is only lucrative if you have a lot of CE that you aren't planning on using yourself. I'd save that CE if I were you.
I have mostly three star gear now, and I'm not all that NEW to the game. I just posted here because this seems to be the "ask questions" section of the forums.
Is reselling recipes really that lucrative of a deal? Do people buy them for more than the standard 1000, 5500, and 15000 crowns?
Depends on the recipe, but usually Terminal only recipes and ones for rare items go for quite a bit more than the purchase price.
Any examples you can think of?
I left my eyes in my other jeans.
If you're like me and can't go into the Clockworks due to lag, then you can still make a good bit of money off the CE market. Just make sure you have a calculator ready to double check if you're making a profit after the 2% tax.
I did this for about 5 hours yesterday and went from 4k crowns to 18k crowns. Not bad if it's your only way to make income (I wish it wasn't, but my internet connection sucks).
How do you know which recipes are rare?
I've never traded recipes before, but I imagine that anything beyond 2* (only found in dungeons) is rare. You'll probably want to go for popular weapon and armor sets.
The stuff sold at tier gates like the caliburs and stuff at Moorcroft Manor/Emberlight are not rare, by the way.
What do you mean "Found in dungeons?" The only recipes I've seen sold are Haven, Moorcroft, and the 5 level recipe places. Are rare recipes found only by monsters/treasure boxes?
no just from the vendor at the clockworks terminal halfway down each tier. his selection is random every time you see him.
So how do I know which recipes are "rare" when I get to him?
@smlamb
Take a look at the stats of the gears on wiki, you can also guess by the * tier and upgrades for antigua and sealed sword are a obvious one.
Play T2 dungeons without dying, sell materials you don't need and buy popular recipes to sell on the bazaar.
You could try trading on the exchange, but it's boring and there's not enough money in it anymore.
