So like any sane person, i like blowing things up. It's one of the simple joys in life.
So, armed with an arsenal of bombs i go marching through the depths of the clockworks,
constantly raising my arms to the sky like i just don't care and subsequently dropping bombs.
And while i love nothing more than the bright blue flash and big numbers everywhere from a
successful nitronome blast, my party members
rarely share my enthusiasm. Even in places where it's appropriate it covers up a good half
the screen, making the final wave in the 3rd arena room an epileptic nightmare.
Now I think any person bombing should have to see the full effects of their bombs; but i think
something should be done
to ease life for those unlucky enough to be stuck in a group with me. An option to tone down
others explosions would go a long way towards making people not hate me-I mean blast
bombers as much. The general haphazard flinging of mobs does enough.
You can already see how big a bombs range is as its fuse counts down, their really isn't a need
to treat everyone to the fireworks display
(unless they, you know, wanna watch the pretty colors)
The Nitrome explosion graphic has come up a few times in this context; it's a pitiless nightmare for parties involved in hectic fights, who suddenly have half the screen turn cyan on them when they're knee-deep in gribblers and really need to see what's going on. Hell, it's no picnic for bombers either, who are likely charging and attempting to plan their next drop when the playfield suddenly vanishes.
Simply dropping the opacity of the Nitrome explosion to, say, seventy percent would kill the problem. I understand that the momentary obscuring of the field is a cost/benefit drawback of these enormously powerful weapons, but everyone hates these things.
