I got SCAMMED! PLEASE READ THIS to avoid being scammed!

I have screenshots of this guy and everything else. His IGN is "(Redacted)".

If you look closely at chat you can see everything. What he wanted to buy was a great defender, he wanted to buy it for 20k but then voluntarily said he would pay me 50k because I had to buy the recipes in order to make one. I wasn't able to catch an actual screenshot of him saying: "my work here is done!!! SCAMMED!!! :)))))", but I did get a screenshot of it in chat when I scrolled up. I was just stunned. I didn't know that people did this just for fun, it isn't very funny to me thats for sure... :/
You also will notice that he tried to get me to craft a striker just to sweeten his crazy idea of "fun". I sent a complaint, and I sure as heck want this kind of player BANNED. It just sucks, he is probably preying on more players as I type this. Funny thing is the saying rings true, "if its too good to be true, then it probably is". All I thought was that he was a nice player who wanted to "sweeten the deal (as he said)l", I'm sure glad I didn't unbind my other gear he wanted to buy!
I'm just glad that It wasn't someone else who was scammed, as I can cope with the loss of about 20k crowns. I sure hope he doesn't scam newer players, thus hurting Spiral Knights good reputation.
Please try to avoid being scammed by trollers (unlike me).

i never have been scammed i have tryed it on other games but i didnt do it cuz it would b mean so i just didnt do it so i hope u dont get scammed again in the future but if it happens it happens(im not trying to b mean or anything but its the truth) ;.; and its down rite mean to scam so yes i agree tht he should b banned!!!!!

Huh...
Despite what the guy said, it's not really a scam. You didn't really lose anything. You were just made to craft something you didn't need.
Fortunately, all is not lost. you likely still have the great defender and can then sell it on the AH. (You are unlikely to get 20k for it though based on current prices). You still have learned the recipes.
