I know it says before you convert that it's permanent and there's no going back
I just really wish this wasn't the case
The steam wallet is an extremely annoying and long way to buy CE, i miss my "click button, done" way.
Now it's click, open steam site, click, open paypal, click, click, click, add funds, click, go back to game, click, & finally done.
The voice chat isn't all that good, painful if people don't have microphones with an in-line mute button.
I've opted to disable it and just use mumble/vent like i was before.
Playing on other computers has become a hassle. Installing steam, having to verify that it's you 80 times when logging in from a strangers ip, installing sk, yaddy yaddayadda
Now i get to miss out on the play testing for lockdown because i'm bound to steam
The only thing good about playing through it is the overlay & that's available to use without binding your account and just playing through the steam client.
Now before "get an alt" is suggested, i already have one. There's just no money put into it and it would cost a whole heck of a lot to send all my equips over to it. Since i can't send Groundbreaker, Rose, or other costume items over there's really not much of a point.
I need my nerd cred.

For me its in game click to purchase energy, steam wallet opens up, click to buy & I'm done.

Voice chat is great. What you are complain about is people that don't have a dedicated line in. Nothing to do with poor quality from steam.

Well if you are going to play on other computers & want to access your account through steam, of course you are going to have to download the client. Having to verify who you are is a FANTASTIC option. Its genius. No more hacked accounts, unless you were stupid enough to use the same password in your email account. And having to verify yourself 80 times? ok so I know it was a huge exaggeration because you are somewhat frustrated but seriously, you log into your steam account on another computer/ip, steam sends a code to your verified email account, you put the code into steam & voila you are done.
