How do they compare in terms of dps? What about damage per hit?
The item charts makes Faust seem to be better in just about every way. It has the speed of a Calibur, long reach, less normal damage but just as much shadow damage, and it can curse. It's only downside seems to be the price of a sealed sword.
Am I missing something? Or is Faust just plain better?
oh i didnt realize that -- are jelly tokens are the only way to obtain it? (the sealed sword)

It's the only way I know how, and the Wiki seems to agree.
During the Preview, Sealed Sword had a chance to drop from the treasure boxes, though I'm not sure if either Sealed or Antigua have dropped from a box since.
You didn't mention that Faust has a chance to curse you. Which in my opinion is a bit of a draw back since the last thing I want to do in the middle of a combo is stop attacking and run away.
The Faust will only has a chance of self curse on the charge attack.
Khorovod is slower and does only normal damage, so is useful in all situations.
Faust is faster and has a slightly shorter range, but does shadow damage as well so does a lot more damage when fighting the right monsters.
I should point out that some armor sets offer Curse resistance, so you may want to shoot for that if you want/have a Faust.

It's probably like you said, it might just be plain better because Faust is really difficult to obtain because of getting the sealed sword, plus Faust's Charge Attack has a chance of cursing YOU too, but its normal attack doesn't. The Khorovod is probably much easier to get compared to Faust, all you need to do is get a recipe and already have a Troika (that is the right alchemy line right?). I'm at 22-23 Jelly Gems right now, and I spent all day yesterday doing Royal Jelly runs, I can't wait until I get the Sword.
