Today we noticed a distinct lack of self-preservation in LD matches. This is due to players having unlimited energy and thus being able to all instantly get back in the game. We felt that we were not getting an accurate read on how players will actually play LD.
For the weekend there will no longer be an option to energy rez. We're hoping we see some new strategies as a result of potentially facing some down time after death.
Dear Nick,
I am not much of a PvP gamer so I watched my flat mate, Thebadger play Random Lockdown for about an hour. The players looked like little children enjoying the feel of the sand on the beach for the first. Just random fun, not enough experience and cohesiveness to build sand castles quite yet. Guild play would make cohesive, strategic team play more viable in a lockdown scenario. However, when the Test Server went up, many of the established guilds were fragmented as members were still at work or in class.
Most players opted for speed and stealth classes because they were still playing as individuals rather than as a team.
Once players get a little more experience and familiar guild mates together, you'll see more strategic team play. I asked Dogrock to adopt Thebadger on the Test Server so he has more guild mates to work with.
Regards,
Raspberry and Thebadger
