As I have not spent 10$ in the last 30 days, I do not have the ability to test lockout via server, so to the people who have tested it, post what you like, what the flaws are, if you think it better then Blast Network, etc. Hope to get some responses!

Thanks, and regards,

Lockdown huh?
Well its good and Im sure most players will like it as much as the people who played it with me during the test, and Im sure the the others will love it too as much as we the testers did, cause Im pretty sure most players will like it cause almost all testers liked it a lot :D
If you compare BN to lockdown ist like this Blast Network < Lockdown, in other words Lockdown is a lot lot lot better than BN, its like 10 times better :D
Im so nervous about the results...

Lockdown is pretty great.

Lockdown is pretty great. Using your own equipment is one of the great pros to the system - no matter what strategy someone else has, there's almost always a way to get around it.

Shivermist spamming? No prob - throw on your skolver set loadout mid-fight. Problem solved. Same goes for just about any bomb strategy people might want to use. The buffs you get - speed, stealth, and a super shield - can also be used strategically to help counter just about any situation.

Spent an hour or two playing it earlier tonight, and I have to say that Lockdown is exactly what I always hoped PvP would be like in this game. After the slight disappointment of Blast Network, Lockdown delivers on both the strategy of the combat and the lack of lag when playing.

So far, really enjoying it.

You gotta play the test

You gotta play the test server or wait until it comes out. There's a non-disclosure thing that you have to abide by before you can play on the test server.

"No problem! Just equip XXX armour set!"

Come on, seriously? People arn't worried about not being able to counter certain sets..people are worried about EXACTLY what you're proposing - the wealthier players being dominant due to being able to use whatever set they please, probably with UVs that most people don't have access to also

NDA: That only applies to

NDA: That only applies to video and screenshots. People can talk about it as much as they want. Only showing it could get someone in trouble.

And as far as a worry about people using equipment because they're rich, I'm sure if they implement tier pairings properly, this won't be an issue. If you're in tier 3, anything should go. You have to fight with the best of the best, if you can't handle it, that means you need to make a set for a lower tier or make more stuff for tier 3 pairings.

Besides, more things will change before its released to us. Some things happening now won't happen in the real thing because not everyone will have the equipment they are using. I hope I have an opportunity to watch my friend some more.

There should probably be a

There should probably be a tiered gameplay system added in. I personally have a ton of 5 star gear, many with UVs. Even with my laggy and bad gameplay skills, I could walk through 3 star players, I imagine.

tengu - There is indeed a tiered system. For the purposes of testing however everyone is playing Tier 3. At launch your loadouts will place you in Tier1, Tier 2 or Tier 3 games of Lockdown.

So.... I've so far speculated that Lockdown is a PvP with classes? Wouldn't I get simply CLOBBERED by a five- star knight?! When will its come out, most importantly?

EDIT: ah nvm i read nick's post, i wont be up against 4 and 5 stars. PHEW

Some responses for all the

Some responses for all the posts asking about certain weapons, armor loadouts, etc. (Nick already covered many of these by confirming the Tiered PvP system.)

The first thing that needs to be said is that I feel gear is not the most important element of Lockdown - surprising as that may sound. There is no sword, no gun, and no bomb in the game that will ensure you an "instant win". There never should be, and I have faith that OOO would absolutely change it if there was.

What matters above all else is skill. Your own reaction time, strategy, and teamwork are three of the most important things in the match. Gear certainly has uses, but it comes secondary to the above. Players with lesser quality gear can still win against a wealthier or better UV'd player if their personal skill is higher, or their teamwork is better. In most cases, you won't have to worry about this thanks to the Tiered system. It's a pretty solid setup all around to ensure balance between gear and teams.

@Monkeyman -

I realize not everyone has a full palette of every armor and every weapon in the game. One of my favorite parts of lockdown is that now you have a real reason to start thinking about building new armor loadouts, about which armor combos could best defend against things like Freeze, Shock, etc - and I'm glad that now those status effect UVs all have more uses, and can actually save you in more than just a single dungeon.

@Moogzor -

As stated above, good strategy and better skill will win over UVs any day. Lockdown is a 6 on 6 match - and with the buffs like speed and stealth, teamwork > MAX UVs any day. Granted, that's not to say those UVs wont offer some help - they can and should. UVs are supposed to be the end-game content for knights perfecting their gear to the max, and allowing them here in Lockdown offers a lot of interesting combos for every knight to one day try.

@Darkknight

One of my teams went up against an All-Polaris using team last night. The Polaris-spam team lost by quite a bit - while the bullets are annoying, the players quite vulnerable when shooting. You can use the speed boost to close the gap and quickly slice them up with your sword, or the stealth ability to sneak right behind them without them knowing you're there. Even the Guardian's shield, which I use the most, can block a large amount of polaris bullets before breaking. Same with shivermist - I was using Vog gear, but I was able to block the bomb and then chase down the bomber immediately afterwards.

Hope this clarifies a bit for all those curious!

How exactly do you play Lockdown?

I hope this won't get you guys (or me) in trouble, but what's the objective in Lockdown? I saw a YouTube video of it, and it looks like you kill other Knights for points, but what's up with the pink and green things on the map?

Nick already revealed the

Nick already revealed the objective a while back, so it should be fine. : )

The goal is to capture a number of points on the map for your team. Think King-of-the-hill style - standing on a point long enough will shift its color for your team. The pink and green you saw were the team colors - the map shows you which team controls each point. The more you have captured, the more match points you'll get once a certain amount of time passes. The team with the most total match points at the end wins.

the issue is those UVs im not lucky nor rich i can't afford to get those UVs that might give me an edge nor can i craft to get them. it's hard enough for me to get the energy to get a piece of armor let alone one with a certain UV

all i know is im going to get my butt kicked by players better off financially unless they arent smart

So can someone explain fully

So can someone explain fully how your gear works with lockdown?

1. You have a boost that gives you a different shield from a video ive seen, so because of this the shield you have equipped at the time will not matter at all (in other words, dont worry about what shield you have because one is provided)?

2. If i am mostly in 2+3* gear, but i have one 4* piece of gear equipped, does that automatically put me in the 4+5* bracket of players?

3. Obvious one i think, but just to make sure, all other equipment slots excluding shield do matter when one ques up for lockdown when it comes out?

I'm not a tester, just a very dedicated observer

1. Pretty much. In all honesty, unless you are guardian, the fact you even have a shield is pretty much null. I think it might protect you from maybe one hit if you're caught. But nothing to count on, after all, your shield activation is actually an ability.

2. I'm not sure any one can answer question #2 (except Nick or someone) yet. Everyone is suggested to wear 5 star gear. Well, perhaps someone could use their proto stuff to test that but I'm not sure if they can get in a match or not. But I'd kind of assume it would. Imagine if someone were to wear all proto gear and take a shivermist, there's no way that's fair for them to be in the tier 1 rank.

3. I guess the answer is yes. Though I wonder as I watched my friend get one hitted in full mad bomber against DA (he wasn't using health trinkets).

should be a definite no for recon and striker.
I'm fairly sure its a no for guardian as well. It didn't seem to take any more or less damage from a shivermist haze than from a voltaic haze.

not rich enough

@Monkeyman,
when you say not rich enough i hope you mean not resourceful enough in the game to become rich in the game. All the necessary components to become in-game rich are right there in the game. You just have to figure out how to put the puzzle together. And there are a ton of different puzzles u can use to get there.
