I find that the only place where I can go out to buy energy for crowns other than that one guy next to the auction house, is there any other way to access the menu for buying energy?

how do I craft 3-5 star weapons without paying since they require more than 100 energy?

When I buy energy for crowns does it count as mist energy or crystal energy? and if it is mist energy does that mean any energy over 100 is lost?
