I checked the price after hearing a guy offering 300cr for them in an outside deal ( non AH )and saw they were 800+cr in the AH. When I ran a tier 2 wolver den I didn't get a single one. Am I looking in the wrong place or are they becoming really rare?. If they are rare do you think this is on purpose to drive up demand and use up crowns prompting CE sales ?.
Why are bushy tails so expensive right now ?
Why are bushy tails so expensive?
Because ASI is very useful. There are several ways of getting ASI, such ash:
Vog cub, which uses bushy tails
swiftstrike buckler shield, which uses bushy tails
quick strike trinkets, which uses bushy tails
Of course, there are a few ways to get ASI without bushy tails, but there are also other things that use bushy tails that are quite popular.
It has been a while since i checked, bushy tails used to be the best use of primal sparks. 800cr per 5 primal sparks is 160cr/spark, higher than anything else.
Well you answered your own question, they're fairly "rare". It's not in so much as them not dropping often though, and more that people run less beast strata, just compare materials from say zombies to wolvers
Theres also more demand for them than a lot of other stuff
No conspiracy here i'm afraid! You could always go get some yourself ;)
You'd have thought that with the awesome Beast themed stratum 5 in the second to last gate the price would drop a bit, and I think I remember it at 875 before the gate opened, but it never really drops much. If you want lots of crowns from lots of monsters, do arenas. But if you want the most valuable materials, run beast themed depths.
Even better is that the Chromalisk drops are only dropped by the Chroma series, so Beast Scales generally sell for more than most other 1* materials, and Drake Scales (their 3* drop) typically sell for even more than Bushy Tails.
Honestly, ye can't quibble about the cost when one pays for Bushy Tail.
..comeon
It's not that they're rare. It's that there's a lot of demand for them, and that drives prices up.
If you want rare, then try looking up plasma cells or philoso feathers.
800 crowns for bushy tails is a normal AH price.
