I was looking at my friends list lately. And I have 172 Friends just from over time accepting and giving out friend requests. Now I see maybe 9 or 10 of them on at once from time to time. When I used to see maybe 20 to 30. This meaning I need to do some friends list spring cleaning. Now with 172 I'll admit I don't remember them all / I don't know who has been online and who hasn't.

I would like there to be in the display, when people are offline under their name in the friends list an indication of the last time they have logged in. That way I can easily go through them and see that "Jimmy" hasn't been on in a month so maybe its time to remove him.

If anyone has any other suggestions of how to go about cleaning up a friends list, I would love some feedback here.

a less-intrusive version of the same suggestion

It might be considered a slight invasion of privacy, to let you keep tabs on your friends' comings and goings. So how about a milder version, that gives you only the bare minimum of information that you need? Namely:

Instead of just Online and Offline friends, have Online, Offline, and Dormant. Dormant consists of all friends who haven't logged in in 30 days (or 60, or whatever is decided). Dormant friends are not included in the Offline list.

And the same feature should exist for guild membership lists. Managing a full guild is a huge hassle.
