There's some sort of issue, I've asked that they poke the wiki with a stick and make it better. No, it's not just browser image caching this time, sadly.
Actual brokenness of reuploaded files
So the news is that they've switched to using a CDN for wiki images. This is going to be good for speediness of loading pages, but for now the updating of the cache on the CDN is lagging behind a bit for those of us trying to update images. They'll look into seeing if there's a way to trigger a cache flush on it whenever images are reuploaded.
However, for now, you're just going to have to let folks know that they'll need to just trust in the snipes flying data around on the wiki server without worrying that it doesn't look like their upload uploaded.
It looks like the change is also impacting how things with transparency are shrunk down making all our icons look jagged. I've put in an inquiry about this as well.
I'm trying not to laugh at any of this right now XD
EDIT: They fixed it! Woo hoo! :D <3
Yep, the hard working devs have fixed the jagged edges issue. Possibly it may have fixed it enough to go back to the dark background tables if people really prefer those. I kind of find the light blue easier to read, but I'll go with the general consensus.
For the image caching thing, for now they have set it to redo it in 10 minutes, so your reuploaded images should just be checked again in 10 minute. They'll look into the whole doing it upon reupload later.
I just checked the individual equipment pages, and those have the jagged edges too. Same with the alchemy paths.
Those pages look okay to me now. Have you cleared your cache and rechecked?
Edit: There are still some issues it seems. Have asked about it.
O HAI PPL.
So, as many of you have noticed, yep, the reuploading of images thing is not quite working again. I've put in a request to have it poked at with a big stick. For now, if your new version of an image doesn't work, wait to reupload/revert until I let you all know that the poking has been successful. Also, please be patient with editors doing multiple reuploads/reverts as they may not have seen this message yet. Sorry about this issue and thanks for working so hard to document all the shiny new equipment!
You may want to put up a big notice or disable new uploads for the time being as there's a few people struggling with this still. I've been trying to head them off a bit.
EDIT:
Oh derp, I see you have already attended to this. Curse you slow page refreshes!
I vote to use a cattle prod instead.
