Hi all who read this post!!! i am Venrock you may of seen me around Haven, but this is not the point! my point is that i have a variety of ideas for this game!
i would like to call this: Spiral Knights: The Zhracolichian Invasion! anywho! lets move on!

my first idea is to have some "hard to get" items! it would be in hidden parts of the clockworks, like say if i found a rare item, it could be a Faust or a Antigua but they are rare, but what i say is add new weapons like Spears, 2 Handed Swords, Axes, and maybe a Rifle!

another! is a new PvP addition: 1 on 1 Sword fights! not like king krogmo but similar. Both knights get a standard sword or a Battle Blade, and duel to the death! the rules would be:

.best 2 out of 3 rounds
.both players get a reward (but the winner gets a better one)
.both have the same amount of HP

also i have another! Boss Simulations! it's a boss fight but in a Training ground (like Virtual Reality) you can group up like in the clockworks and play in the training boss rooms and choose the boss, like the Snarbolax and you dont get a reward its just training!

and! a NEW TIER! Tier 4! tier 4 would be unlockable after the usual requirements: but it would be in the core, but there will be a dimensional rip in the world! and so you can enter a new mysterious world that no Spiral Knight has ever seen! and it is nothing like the clockworks! there are new levels to battle! this "land" is known as Venrock's Homeland AKA Zhracolichia. Spiral Knights would have no experience in Zhracolichia, cause it is a massive world and new monsters roam the land. They are nothing like Wolvers or Devlites, this land is meant for the brave and strong-hearted. i wont go on any further because i cant ruin the land!

and now! i have one more! there are Legendary Swords! they can only be held by the chosen, but there are swords similar to the Legendary Ones. the 4 main ones are called: the Swords of Redemption. They possess tremendous power and great benifits to people. they all represent fallen Dragonfins. Dragonfins are like chinese dragons but also can swim like a fish. (im getting off track XD) anyways they are called:

.Lich's Rage
.Lich's Bane
.Lich's Wrath
.Lich's Judgement

Lich's Rage has very good attack and speed and it can cause Fire and Freeze but be warned! do not misuse their power because they will drain any standard Spiral Knight's Energy and their very own life energy. (this includes all Spiral Knights) and if you are down in the clockworks, you may revive yourself with no energy cost! (can only be used once per level)

Lich's Bane is a Phazer Blade. its like a lightsaber but it can pierce Jellies better than any piercing blade! but this sword has very good speed and quite good attack power, it can cause Curse, Poision and Fire. and every time you take damage, your defence power doubles but attack power lowers

Lich's Wrath has a EXTREME attack power but unfortunatly it has slow speed, it can cause Stun and a 25% chance of a 1 hit kill! but i warn you! this sword can KO your teammates and they may not be able to revive!

and Lich's Judgement is the sword Venrock Sharpshadow holds. it has extreme attack power and awesome speed, it can cause Stun, Fire, Freeze and Curse. there is a bonus! when you have lost 75% or more health/HP you are invulnrable to physical attacks not Elemental.

WOW! this is a lot! well i would like to know your ideas too and please give constructive feed back! Or else i will find you and hunt you down on the game!

Oh dear.

I believe one-on-one swordfights were in the Preview event (correct me if I'm wrong, guys) and were a pretty resounding failure; it's not hard to see why. Swordplay in SK is reliant on pattern recognition and dealing with telegraphed attacks, neither of which are compatible with the way player attacks work; PvP swordfights would rapidly devolve into players hammering attack until (a) somebody's shield broke, (b) somebody fell over, or most likely (c) both players got bored and shut the thing off out of embarrassment. SK lacks a number of features that would make PvP melee combat viable and fun, like attack variety (Knights can attack and...charge attack; that's it. Not a lot of room for PvP strategy there).

I'm sure the Core will eventually be unlocked, but to be blunt, that screed sounds like your SK fanfiction.

All those sword ideas are horrendous, come on.
- Who in their right mind's going to use a weapon that drains their Energy or HP?
- The rest are either disgracefully overpowered or nonviable (I'm thinking particularly of the lightsabre-a-like).

Please feel free to "hunt me down" btw; it's not as if you can do anything once you've found me.

Oh, my

I must concur with Effrul's statements. Now that that's out of the way, It's time to tear your post a new structurally superfluous anus.

- Your punctuation is horrid.

- I think you might be afflicted with a few personality disorders.

- You are strange, and not even in a pleasant sort of way.

- If you have a legitimate (read: physiological or psychological) reason for why you are strange, I don't care, because it doesn't change the fact that you are strange.

- Your suggestions show that you have no idea how much programming and labor it would take to create them.

- The dev team doesn't like the idea of players getting free gear (the reason that Tortodrones aren't around anymore (they were farmed a lot for the shields they dropped)), so it would be very, very unlikely for players to be able to get gear in the manner in which you suggested.

- The general consensus is that taking away our ability to shield in exchange for something else, especially two-handed weapons, would usually be a very bad idea, as shielding is too important to SK combat, and because they would probably break game balance.

- Your PVP idea has some potential, but it would take way to much work to make viable, and would probably require an overhaul of the current system.

- The setting tries to shoehorn your personal fiction into Spiral Knights, and that's just wrong.

- You are pretty much suggesting that the dev team, which is very small, by the way, create your game for you.

- Your idea for swords are just bad, usually overpowered, and there would be no good way to distribute them to players. I think I will elaborate on my claim of your sword ideas being bad.

- the Lich's Rage could not inflict both fire and freeze as those effects cancel each other out. Even if only one status defect was dealt at a time, and was dealt randomly, the idea is still stupid and would be very difficult to implement effectively. The lowered HP feature guarantees that virtually no one would want to use it, because it would severely lower survivability, and is therefore a bad idea. The free revive is an interesting way to compensate, but would be riddled with abuse, so no.

- the Lich's Bane has very odd-sounded effects. what do you mean by "it can pierce Jellies better than any piercing blade!"? Would it do piercing damage? If so, the only way to implement that feature would be with a major damage boost, which would be a bad thing, or with a MAX damage boost to Jellies, which would still have pitiful damage. If you did both, that would be extra bad. Alternatively, would it deal split damage? If so, to be anywhere near effective, it would have to be split Shadow/Piercing, like the sentenza, which deals very pitiful damage to jellies, because damage resistances are much higher than weaknesses. Also, split damage weapons are pigeonholed into being effective against only two enemy types, which in the case of a Shadow/Piercing weapon, would be Beasts and Gremlins. Which would make it a poor weapon, that no MAX jelly bonus could compensate for. As for the status defect, there are too many. The defense thing is worded very poorly and is vague sounding. Would your defense keep doubling each time you took damage? When would it stop doubling? When would your defense power return to normal? Same issues with the lowered attack damage, on top those, it comes with the issue of having an undefined lowering in damage.

- Your lich's wrath sounds like an overpowered and/or too slow version of any other heavy sword, the chance for instant KO would be difficult to implement, would be overpowered, and would be hate by most players, who could semi-permanently knocked out by it.

- Lich's Judgement is your over-powered dream sword, that deals entirely too many status defects, and the suggestion of being invulnerable to non-elemental attacks at 30% health or lower, is beyond ludicrous.

- Your idea does not sound original; in fact it sound so cliche' it hurts.

On the other hand, the idea of boss simulators is interesting but would require crowns to use.

Don't do it. It's a bad idea.

Oh, I forgot to tell you that if you try to follow me around in-game, I will ignore you and send a complaint for harassment. Also, Venrock is a very successful investment capital firm founded by one of the Rockefellers, so you might run into some trouble if you tried to make a game in which one of the characters was named like the aforementioned firm.
