When you heard of PvP, weren't you excited to grab your most powerful weapon and devastate the battlefield? Were you disappointed when King Krogmo's Coliseum didn't interest you? Too impatient to wait for lockdown to come out? Do you want a nice, fun, fast-paced and balanced way of fighting your friends?

Well you've come to the right thread. Before I spill all the fancy details here, let me say a few things. My idea consists of a class-based Team Deathmatch where players can choose to play as a knight or monster. You'll be given weapons and armor when you enter, just to make things fair, but you can still wear your Costume for fun.

Now for those of you who play strategy games or Team Fortress 2, you know exactly what I mean. Each class will have their strengths and weaknesses, some classes do good against others and vice versa.

When you've decided to fight for the Knights or Monsters, you get to select your class. Each class has different weapons, specialties and abilities. While the knights will have their swords, guns and bombs, the Monsters will have just a bit more than their basic abilities. Depending on the map, you'll be able to access different classes for both teams. One map might have Knights fighting Gremlins, and another might have Zombies or Constructs. Maps will have different mechanics and designs to spice up the battlefield.

Sounds great, doesn't it? Each team will have access to a few basic classes. One might be good at defense, another prefers the offensive approach, and another could be a support class like a Medic. But for the sake of balance, each map has a different class setup for you, meaning your selection is limited. Class limits included, so you don't have an entire team full of one specific class.

If Three Rings can implement this in just the right way, I could see people having loads of fun. Unfortunately, I can't put every last precise detail in the thread, but you get the general image, right? Show your support if you'd like, and feel free to use constructive criticism.

Alright, don't think to much

Alright, don't think to much for this but there are a couple of problems here
1) Copy Right Issues, they would be sued for use of content from L4D or TF2
2) To Long to implement with the fact that there are specific classes and the fact that you are able to become one of the clock monsters is a little touche but way to difficult to even implement
3) Left 4 Dead clone with the fact your clock work monsters instead of zombies

now those are my criticisms, now don't take me wrong if they could I believe it would be a nice touch for awhile but its too cliche to be realizable.

@ above I'm sorry, how would

@ above
I'm sorry, how would this be using content from Left 4 Dead or TF2? I don't think you understand what a copyright is.

the issue i have is will

the issue i have is with classes in SK.... there are none and should have none. LD doesnt use classes in the same respect as TF2, it just augments the shield you use with an additional abilities

Umm.... Lockdown I've heard

Umm....
Lockdown I've heard is Control Point based Player vs Player Teams with colors to represent your team.....
So you're saying that that's copyrighting TF2? But....they aren't getting sued and are working with Steam so.....

Anyway sounds like an ok idea but I think Lockdown will be fine.
Also wouldn't this require OOO to code this as well?

Too impatient to wait for lockdown to come out?

How would they make this, but not lockdown in time?!?
