Okay guys and gals, let's face it. The Cold Iron Vanquisher just plain flatout sucks. Sure, it looks like a cool blade, but it's lower damage and measly undead UV make it frowned upon by many knights due to the fact that the Leviathan Blade has better attack in general, and more knockback. So let's come up with three different Cold Iron Vanquishers. From there on, we'll discuss the pros and cons, and which one is the best change. Keep in mind that these are changes for it's abilities, not it's base damage.

Cold Iron Vanquisher 1:
- The blade's damage bonus to Undead has been buffed to Maximum.

Cold Iron Vanquisher 2:
- High damage bonus to undead has been replaced with a fair chance of causing freeze.

Cold Iron Vanquisher 3:
- Cold Iron Vanquisher is now an elemental sword.

These changes are interesting, are they not? Personally I would go for making CIV an elemental sword. Nevertheless, let's discuss weapons.

2. Absolutely not, from looking at it, you would never associate it with freeze.
3. No, again from looking at it, you would never associate it with Elemental. Maybe Shadow.

You know what, I prefer the CIV, because way too many people spam the levi charge without regard for their team mates. I know lumbers are used often as the example, but any enemy that gets flung into my path while attacking hurts. I use a CIV for that reason - the charge keeps you plenty safe, and the damage differences are not game breaking - if you were that worried about damage, you would take a specialist sword with you (eg a DA in a construct theme), and have the CIV/Levi as backup.

So no, leave it as it is :)

i disagree with almost everything mentioned

"Okay guys and gals, let's face it. The Cold Iron Vanquisher just plain flatout sucks."

-What? Ok, sure the levi may be more powerful, but your making it seem like CIV does like hundreds of damage lower than it. I've seen levi damage, and CIV damage (because i own one) and i still prefer CIV. i have twarted many bosses, and enemies with this blade. I admit, one reason i got the CIV is because almost EVERYONE had the levi. I grew to love it and its Zombie slaying awesomeness. The CIV isnt just for looks, its a pretty good blade! It would be nice to add a little something to the CIV (not elemental, unless redesigned to look elemental) but i love it just the way it is.

What...

SHADOW? SHA-DOH? Are you crazy? Gran Faust takes that job, not CIV.

On the other hand: I would go with number one.

My opinion on it:
It's really only slightly worse than Leviathan, but it looks much cooler and isn't used by absolutely everyone. Therefore I use it.

It's really simple.

Remove or drastically reduce knockback on charge attack. Bam, easy to land full 3-hit charge, no issues with sending enemies flying to your comrades.

Seriously the CIV is good as is. People choose levi over it cos of the "huge knockback" but people fail to see how this can seriously lower ur dps and hinder your team.
By lowering the knockback, you land more hits on the enemy you hit as it doesnt fly as far. Mobs also dont fly towards other teammates and crush them.
It is seriously good as it is. If you dont like it i probably recommend the levi to you then.
(i use a CIV with UV vs construct Vhigh. I also have a slash trinkets so i do vhigh to everything, and maximum to undead and construct)

No.

Changing the damage to anything but normal or adding a status is like tranforming the weapon in a brandish sans explosions.

I think Max Undead would be most beneficial for the CIV. The "High" Bonuses are rather annoying because all 5* trinkets/shields/armors give a medium damage bonus, so to reach max you'd be wasting a level. If it were Ultra or, preferably, Max to start off with then it is an optimal matter to maximize the Undead damage.

No to 2/3 - adding status/shadow/elemental to the sword removes its Calibur-quality. (I rather wish the Sudaruska had no stun but much higher damage... sigh...)

Some other fantasy CIV ideas -

A) Remove the undead bonus altogether and increase the charge attack damage. That way you have a weapon like the Levi but with lower basic attack damage, higher charge attack damage and less knockback. Someone like myself that enjoys spamming Calibur charge attacks would find this setup most appealing. Also, the higher base for charge attacks would work well with sword damage bonuses.

B) Increased undead aggro - anyone wielding a CIV gets undead attention at long range and is much more likely to retain aggro when someone else attacks. A la "pipped piper" for undead. This would aid in corralling undead to take full advantage of the weapon's undead bonus.
