I have a Magma Driver right now and was thinking about switching to a Nova Driver. Figure it would serve me better overall.
Thoughts?
As far as the Alchemers go, how is the Prismatech line of drivers?

It does more damage but without any status effects
I have the Nova Driver and i would say, it's one of the best elemental guns. The charge itself separates into 4 ricochet shots, and quite oftenly it hits multiple times on a single target, I have lost count on the times which I've one shotted Slags in a 1 - 3 Man team in FSC.

I think if you are only going
I think if you are only going to carry one, you can't go wrong. It's roughly 10% more damage (think I read that, don't hold me to it) but you don't have any negatives, so if you run across an oiler, quicksilver or freeze gel you don't run the risk of adverse effects against them.

Is it worth selling my Magma
Is it worth selling my Magma Driver and replacing it with a Nova Driver for Tier 3 strata's and FSC?

Nova deals about 20% more damage than Firo/Cryo/Volt.
I like it better than the other ones, since I use bombs when I want to cause status effects.

Status update
I'd rather have the status effects. They can be very useful. I have two alchemers (hail driver and firo driver) and choose which to carry based on the stratum. The firo driver inflicts fire at least 25% of the time, so it overall does more damage than the prisma line. And cryo freezes of course, which is nice in arenas where you have enough targets to shoot at others while letting the frozen ones take thaw damage.
You can also freeze phantoms which is all kinds of useful in a graveyard.

IMO i think Prisma is the Jack of all trades in alchemers , works well in every stratum and deals more damage, Firo/Cryo/Volt are more specific and only works in specific stratum (my derp english)

Well i gonna put the damage table (Versus Constructs and Undead, tier 2, *2 weapon) for the lols
Voltech: Basic 43 - 48 , Charge 74 - 85 , if shock 43-48+8 =51-56 each 3 sec
Prisma: Basic 54 - 62 , Charge 91 - 106 , 54 - 62 each shot
Firotech: Basic 43 - 48, Charge 74 - 85, If burn 43-48+30= 78 each (1 seg ?)
In tier 3.. (D28)
Voltech: Basic 174, if shock (Versus Constructs and Undead) +30 = 204 each 3 sec
Prisma: Basic 204 (?)
Firotech: Basic 174, if burn + 79 ? ( i think is more) = 253 each sec
Now with Max UV DMG (46% ?)
Voltech: Basic 254 each shot, + shock = 284 each 3 sec
Prisma: basic 297 each shot
Firotech:Basic 254, + Fire = 333 each shot
YEAH if you can shot every 1 sec + status, firotech does more damage
Saw a Guy 1 hit a mechaknight with a prisma, it was in a strata 3 arena tho. Oh how I miss the emerald sun gate. Shoulda sold all my ce then.
