This update with even Low graphic settings having the skybox in the background is cutting up my frame rate. I know it's prettier, but combat with a lot of enemies and explosions can get pretty choppy. It would be nice to keep Low without, or have a toggle option to turn off the background and effects. Otherwise, the game is slightly less playable right now.

I'm getting the same choppiness I get with Medium settings; now there seems to be no point to setting things on Low. Personally I think it's the effects (such as the miasma in Poison levels and wind effect in Shock areas) rather than the background itself, since most of the time that's just a static image.

I really like having an actual background, since plunging the level into a blank void makes everything feel just odd. Maybe the toggle should be for those mentioned effects?

I think you're right on the

I think you're right on the effects, rather than the background. Snow levels really kill my frame rate if its in a window. Going Fullscreen helps tremendously, but still some chop.
