Various improvements/tweaks

Here's a list of some various things I think would improve the game: -

  • Add a "take all" button to the mail interface. If you have to buy lots of items off the AH (e.g. if you buy 10 green shards individually to craft an item) it's cumbersome to take them all out of the mail currently.
  • Colour code the dots that show up on items with unique variants (currently always yellow blobs) based on the potency of the UV. E.g. low=yellow, medium=orange, high=red, vhigh=purple. This would make it much easier to find items with better UVs on the auction house.
  • Rebalance auction house listing fees for materials - currently many materials cost more to list than their sale value. Although it's possible to start listings very cheap to ensure they sell and the listing fee is recouped, this situation is surely not intended.
  • Change the default sort category on the auction house to "buy price" (or save the last used sort). It's surely obvious that this suits the way the majority of players use the AH better than having "end time" as default does.
  • Add an option to elevators to pay a small amount of extra energy to choose the next level (only from those that are normally available on the gate). Waiting around for levels better tailored to your equipment to come up is frankly boring and since players can already choose any of the levels anyway (albeit by waiting) I can't see that this would cause balance issues.
  • Consider reducing the unbind cost of 4/5* items. Currently many such items are not worth unbinding and selling. The root cause of this is that the cost to create these items is significantly lower than the cost to unbind them. I feel that if these costs were closer there would be a healthier market for the higher star level items.

The colour-coding thing is

The colour-coding thing is inspired; I'm surprised it's not come up much before, if at all.

the first four are reasonable

the first four are reasonable enough

the 5th is out of the question since it would contradict OOO position of having players "explore the clockwork" and it would only cause people to pick the arenas/ other profitable levels

6th:The root cause of this is that the cost to create these items is significantly lower than the cost to unbind them
that is exactly the reason why the prices for unbinding are so high. It acts as a deterrent preventing players from abusing the heck out of it and flooding the market with end game equipment, like what was happening prior to 5/17. OOO also wants you to spend the time working up the materials and energy to craft an item (but gives you the option to unbind for a price), so they have enough time to finish the next update or else players will get bored and quit.

To Monkeyman:

Sit there, wait, it changes over time. Since waiting can change it so you can wait for the arena, why does it matter that you can spend a bit extra crowns / CE to make it change to what you want faster? I mean if your argument was "It doesn't change, therefore it doesn't need to" sure, I'd agree with you, but it can change, and therefore waiting is just a stupid feature. We should be able to choose what we want at that rate, aside from the ? ones of course. Hell, in my opinion, I think it should change for free since it already does that, but I wouldn't [tart] at spending 2 CE or 5 CE to make it something else.

Also, he asked to "lower it" not to destroy it altogether. Simply reducing the 3star by 100 4star by about 200-300 and the 5star by 500-600 would be enough to make it bearable, but not game breaking.

I mean it's funny, I actually called this 100%. I said to people before the patch "I bet the 5star unbind is gonna be 3k-4k CE, and people went "No way that's too high no one would buy them at that rate".
I was completely right, and they still sell.
I think making 5star unbinds even 3000 CE wouldn't be too bad, but that is a bit of a decrease so, yeah, I can see why something like that wouldn't be agreed to, but I can still agree to "lower it".

And yeah, I think the first 4 are good too.
