Is the blackened crest a good shield? I want to eventually procure one but just i want some idea on if it is good or not. upgrade to crest of almire also?

Blackened Crest is not very good compared to other 4* shields but the Crest of Almire has the same stats as Grey Owlite (generally accepted as the best shield in the game) except it has Shadow def. so if you find yourself getting hit alot by undead/fiends than i highly recomend it.
Personally, i seem to have more trouble with fiends than gun puppies so i use Crest of Almire. and with Vog Cap and Skolver Coat i get all of my defenses covered
