I meet the games requirement and yet still find that its lagging/jumping my computer run on:
-1024mb ram (1gb)
-1.6ghz duel processer
-java version 6 update 27 (just installed)
-250gb memory (50gb free)
-direct x11
-spiral knights minimum graphics level
please can you help me resolve this problem.
bad gaming
the processors a intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU N270 1.6GHz (2 CPUs) and i run no programmes in the background exept steam required to use the game.
Ah, the graphics that comes paired with the Atom N series is usually the Intel GMA 950. Pleas make sure that this is actualy true.
If so, then make absolutely sure your drivers are up to date and direct from Intel. You can use these instructions to help through the installation process.
Be aware that OpenGL support on the GMA 950 is rather spotty since Intel licensed the part instead of actually buying it. There have been no people, so far, who've managed to get the game running on this graphics device.
yes i used the dxdiag and in the display tabs it says "chip type: intel(R) GMA 950" im guessing thats what you meant
I think the lag is worse than ever and is creating a lot of frustration among a lot of players.
I have quite a few friends leaving the game due to it. I think its from all the upgrades, new bosses, etc. and the server just cant take it.
no i think its the animation behind the making as i just did a run with one friend and it went smoothly but normaly it lags and jumps me around
In this case, I would say you're experiencing graphics lag from using a barely capable graphics device. It's not uncommon for the older Intel Intergrated graphics sets to have trouble keeping up with gameplay.
The intel graphics are unreliable unless its an Intel HD. Even then, its not a strong performer.
On a positive note, because of the higher requirements for Windows7, along with chipset consolidation, Intel has been beefing up the graphics controllers so they can keep pace with HD and BluRay playback. As a side effect, they are slowly becoming more suitable as an entry level graphics for 3D games. If they continue to follow this trend, they should have a half decent graphics chip about 2 CPU generations from now.
What is your actual video device and the drivers you are using with it? If using an older, lower speed, dual core processor (Core 2 Duo or Athlon II X2) you'll want to make sure you limit the amount of background programs running.
