I haven't seen anyone talking about this, but OOO made it so when you inspect someone who has full inspect OFF, you will only see their costume. Just a little tidbit...
Costume Unannounced Update
Correct. Now it hides your true armor if you don't have full inspect on. Someone called me a hacker cuz they inspected me and saw what appeared to be rose regalia equipped as armor...
Well how will I know who's fit to be in a tier when I inspect a random knight in a PUG? Now I have to tell them to turn on their full inspect...
Well for the most part they'll be qualified for a specific tier if they're in there already... but for those who have been invited deeper than they should have gone, they'll probably die. A lot.
Well that's how it SHOULD be, but the default should be full inspect ON. If you want to hide what gear you have, for lockdown etc. then you should uncheck the full inspect option.
No, the default should be OFF, but it should save when you log out and back in.
I don't quite understand the need for anything less than full inspect outside PvP, and even in PvP, i'm not sure i see much of a reason. I don't see any privacy in the stuff you are wearing, and having that information available is useful for all members of a party and very helpful in teaching new players what kinds of things work and what doesn't.
At a very minimum, the option for full inspect should be remembered when you log back in.
Yes, SK seriously needs to remember user preference for the full inspect option. I am so bloody sick of turning it back on.
I think it should default to on, because the only reason I can think of to hide your loadout would be to scam people into thinking you are a noob when you are not. I really can't think of a legitimate reason for hiding your equiped gear.
What about "I dont want friend and guild requests and beggar mail just because they saw my gear"
I dont want friend and guild requests and beggar mail just because they saw my gear
I don't think gear matter much for that. I have an alt with proto that I use and it gets as many requests as my fully 5* main. People who don't think enough to see that unsolicited friend/guild requests are rude are not going to think about what kind of gear you have.
I think someone asked for that. It used to bypass the costume and let you see their real armour, but not costume and weapons didn't it?
